How do you prove it anyway? Short of following a paper trail, I'm not really sure how a club can prove we've made contact with a player.
If these are the reports, it's a reason to stay away from Bony, because Swansea will be even more intent on screwing us over the fee.

I sincerely hope this is bulldust. Rodriguez is one of those players whom others seem to rate but who I've never seen play that well.
Given that he's out with a cruciate injury, I can't believe for one minute that it's true.
Bony for £19m is a decent bet but ideally we need better.

Holland coach Louis van Gaal has been rebuffed by Arjen Robben about joining him at Manchester United.
Van Gaal made the attempt after the Bayern Munich winger had starred in yesterday's World Cup win over Brazil.
"After the match he asked me to come to Manchester," Robben told NOS.
But unfortunately for United fans, Robben rebuffed the approach, and said: "I'm very happy with where I am now. I told [Van Gaal] that.
"Van Gaal is the best coach I've had. We've got a very special relationship, but I will not make a transfer.
"I'm at the right place at Bayern so that has nothing to do with Van Gaal or United."
And Van Gaal later confirmed his interest in bringing Robben to Old Trafford.
"He is always welcome. But he knows this himself," he said.

Doubt it will happen, and if they say that he can leave other clubs will be interested.

Although we hate Jose, I would go as far as saying he is not stupid. There is obviously something wrong with Lukaku as a main striker. I was not impressed with the appearances he made for Belgium, and I do not think he is someone we need.
And we were upset at the time how he played us, and how we missed out on him. Very enjoyable to read
