great gets bandied about too much, the lad was so great in a team that got relegated? is he an improvement on anyone apart from Kelly? no. more quality brendan. anything more than 5m for a team in championship is a ripoff.
Not so sure about your logic here Red. Hasn't Marshall been touted around as the best keeper in the league in the season just ended? Yet his team was relegated.
i suppose it's a bit much too call him great after one proper season in the epl in which his team got relegated. sure not all his fault, but is he really that good or more importantly an improvement? for that matter I don't rate marshall to be that good either, he joins the long list of goalies who have impressed for crap team who get relegated because they are so busy during a game that they are bound to make 5 amazing saves whilst conceding 3.
Definitely some shenanigans. Could well be that they pay half his wages. So they book a sale of the entire 40m or 50m this season, but bleed let's say 5.2m a year for the next 4 years (let's assume Luiz is on 200K a week - that's about 5.2m a year, and let's say PSG gives him a 4-year contract). Ends up the nett sale is about 20m to 30m, but their accounts for next season look good for the FFP, or at least neutral.

The Ukraine international has reportedly explained that he would snub the Reds in order to remain with his current club this summer.
Yehven Konoplyanka has dismissed links with Manchester United, suggesting he would rather stay with current club Dnipro and compete in the Champions League.
The Ukrainian winger was close to completing a move to the Premier League Liverpool in January but a proposed deal collapsed on the final day of the winter transfer window.
And now the Reds have emerged as contenders for the 24-year-old's signature, with a £12m bid having been mooted in recent reports.
However, according to Artur Petroysan, editor-in-chief of Russian publication Sport-Express, Konoplyanka isn't particularly keen on joining United.
When asked about interest from the Reds, Petroysan claims the winger replied: "Man United? I'd rather stay at Dnipro and play in the Champions League."
