Kovacic is playing for Inter now. Looks a great prospect.
Shame we didnt rival Napoli for Ghoulam. He's been fantastic since he signed for them.

This site has been such a wonderful place to post these last few weeks, shame that looks about to end again.

It has, Hamster is now bullshitting about players that aren't subject to rumours

Ooopppsss

Liverpool are weighing up making an offer for St Etienne fullback Faouzi Ghoulam.

The Algeria international is on the Reds radar as manager Brendan Rodgers seeks a new left-back signing.

Ghoulam is tied to St Etienne until 2016.

He is being linked with Liverpool after Rodgers dropped talks over a deal for Benfica fullback Lorenzo Melgarejo last week.

[article=http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-manchester-united-transfers-lallana-3463295#ixzz302uJ3415]Liverpool have edged ahead of Manchester United in the race to land Southampton ace Adam Lallana in the close season, writes Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.

United are bidding to sign the Saints skipper and his team-mate Luke Shaw as they embark on a £200million rebuilding job.

But their Anfield arch-rivals' boss Brendan Rodgers has weighed in with an offer of a £50,000-a-week deal to the player.

Lallana, 25, has been superb all season in the No.10 role and, barring an injury, is nailed on to go to the World Cup with England this summer.

Such has been his progress this term that he is even pushing hard for a place in Roy Hodgson’s starting line-up in Brazil.

United are particularly keen to sign Lallana, as they face up to the prospect of losing Danny Welbeck - Arsenal have become the latest club to be linked with the unhappy Old Trafford hitman.

Sunday People Sport disclosed last week that the England star is one of the top targets for Spurs. And Everton boss Roberto Martinez was revealed in midweek to also be keen if Romelu Lukaku fails to return to Goodison Park next season.

Now, the Gunners' Arsene Wenger is showing interest as well.[/article]

Chelsea are plotting a £20million summer swoop for Juventus’ Arturo Vidal.
Jose Mourinho’s scouts have been keenly watching the Chile star, who is an all-round box-to-box player and is seen as a potential replacement for the Blues' long-serving Frank Lampard.
Vidal, 26, is believed to fancy a move away from the Serie A leaders this summer. And with Juve expressing an interest in Chelsea’s Brazilian midfielder Ramires, a swap deal could even be struck.
Ramires may be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
After the re-signing of Nemanja Matic in January, Mourinho is keen to recruit another central midfield player this summer.

I'm told by Juve-supporting relatives that the rumour about Vidal wanting away is bollocks.

If it isn't, I wouldn't mind us trying to hijack this.

Got more info.about Vidal from my "spies" just now. It seems he has a knee problem and there's an outside chance it may require surgery, which adds to their scepticism about him going anywhere.

Interestingly they say Pogba is in discussions about a new contract and is looking for huge money. Of the two, they actually think Pogba's marginally the more likely to leave because of those wage demands.

Lallana wants to come to Liverpool. Wouldn't mind it unless they're asking for more than £15 million

Most of the English press leading with the Lallana story this morning.

I'd fucking love Lallana.

But, but, but...would he get into our starting 11? Haha.

I agree, classy footballer and the type of player Rodgers' goes for.

He's a good player, and would be a good signing as long as we don't get rinsed on the fee.

Oli Kay from the Times saying we want him and Luke Shaw. Says we'll spend around £25m on Lallana, which seems a lot, but he's a terrific footballer and would fit into our team perfectly.

It would be an amazing satement of intent if we get Shaw and Lallana.*
I like Lallana more but Shaw is just what we need.
We would have almost the entire England / PFA 1st 11 too.

*(It won't happen, and we'd still need a holding CM, a CB, an RB and an ST.)

Lallana is the central midfielder.

I'd argue RB can wait or is at least down the list of priorities.

We don't need another CB - unless we sell one.

We also arguably don't need a striker - what we need is an attacking midfielder who will operate on the left side.

We do need a left back though.
