Transfer Rumours

The winning formula of Fergiscum....does it involve brown paper bags and post match drinking sessions with mqnagers of the lesser clubs after they hqve comfortably thrown the game away?

Why arent new incoming managers able to do the same?

He'll fit perfectly into 3-5-2 because he works his ass off up and down that touchline, he's fast (something United seriously lack) and he scores a lot of goals.

He doesnt get that many goals, 4 in 34 La Liga games last season, and thats in a side that scored 104 goals. Hes a good player buts hes not prolific

I read somewhere the LGB was going to play ADM as a LWB.

That'll be fun.

You sound more like a fund manager than a football fan you weaselly twat.

Liverpool are rumoured to be in for Julian Brandt, a young winger at Leverkusen. What's your opinion on that? If you're wondering how that's relevant to this conversation then fuck off to Red Cafe.

No just reading loads of stuff elsewhere saying financially without CL we are heading the way of Leeds.

He probably fancies him.

yup ...

If they sign Di Maria they'll play him as LCM imho.
Still have large gaping holes in the squad after spending close to 200 mill.

They might be able to spend money on wages but certainly not on insane fees without CL.

Di Maria is a bit desperate for 60 mill £ and 10 mill add ons.
But fuck that.

Will we sign a new midfielder if Lucas goes?

Because you'll be missing out on a dirty great slab of income AND more players than usual will be turning you down. Double whammy.

Didn't Ancelotti recently confirm that Di Maria had turned down a new contract?

If that's the case I would imagine the only reason would be because he wants considerably more money.

Does anyone have an idea of what he's on at Madrid?

It just seems odd, that he's at the holders of the Champions League, guaranteed to be competitive in the league and Europe, part of an incredible squad etc etc, yet he's prepared to go to a club "in transition" with no European football.

It's more a case of Bale, Kroos and Rodriguez pushing him out of the team.

I reckon he'd definitely rather stay at Real than move to PSG, Utd or anywhere else.... not at the expense of his game time it would seem though.

Because not being in the CL will reduce your income from both sponsor deals and merchandicing.
Its been veeeery difficult attracting players this summer. Next will be even worse and etc etc.
You'll be spending top dollar on second tier players that wont improve you.

Revenue wise you will be fine for a few years but no success on the pitch will have implications off it aswell.

This. I think Ancelotti wants to keep him aswell.

To be honest - I really couldn't give a flying fuck who Man Utd do or do not sign.

Fair enough.

Sucks (relatively speaking) to be him.

Di Maria's quality, no doubt about it. But then, so are RVP, Rooney, Mata and yer man Janzaj and yet they still got dicked at home to fucking Swansea last week. Why?

Because you can have all the strut up front that you like, but when you're back 3 consists of Phil Jones, someone else, and (I'm being genuine here) some kid I had never heard of in my life before, then adding Cristiano Ronaldo to that attack wouldn't make a fucking difference.

If I was a United fan I'd be asking questions as to why Van Gaal has waited until the season's started to add a 60M player who can't play in midfield, defence, or in the 3-5-2 he's waxed lyrical about for the last 2 months.

This is Wenger-like shit here. Spending a fucking fortune on tasty attacking midfielders, and then wondering why Flamini (or in the case of Van Gaal) Darren Fletcher gets completely owned by Jonjo Shelvey and some Korean guy that sat on Sundrland's bench last season.

Even with those three he'd still see plenty of match time with the amount of commitments Real have. He asked for a pay rise (common knowledge, widely reported) and Real said no. Either Di Maria is in a huff (knowing what new inbounds are earning) or Real are, at his attitude. Otherwise it makes absolutely no sense.

That's a lot of pound for Di Maria, I'm still unsure if he's exactly what they need, unfortunately it makes United stronger, so it's not a good thing.
