Nobody seems to like a view to a kill either. Possibly my favourite after goldeneye

Fuck me! 'Moonraker' and 'A View To A Kill' were awful. If it's Roger Moore Bond we are talking about it's all about 'Octopussy' baby.😎

That fucking clown bit still freaks me out!

Well they were a bit creepy when I was about 8, but otherwise...

I think it's quite a decent Bond film. People get too hung up on some of the really awful comedy moments, but the basic plot and characters and setting is all good silly action stuff.

I dunno mate - Clowns with knives just freak me out.

I fear this thread is digressing but from some of the bollocks that's been posted on here recently a healthly James Bond debate can only be a good thing. Let's meet up for a pint soon. I'll buy 😉

Errrrrr.........

Oops for some reason I thought that was about Lallana. Sorry! I was reading something about us bidding earlier but the figure wasn't revealed, I thought maybe the Guardian were reporting the amount.

Sadly...

Diego Costa has told Atletico Madrid players that he's leaving this summer, and is expected to complete a 32 million pound deal to Chelsea, sources have told ESPN.

I think the 'Shaw' bit gave it away.

Liverpool favourites to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho

Liverpool appear to have stolen a march on their arch rivals Manchester United off the pitch as well as on it this season, following the news that the Merseysiders are now favourites to sign Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from a number of European clubs following a string of successful appearances for Leonardo Jardim’s side, which earned him a call up to the Portugal senior side earlier in the season.
With a reported release clause inserted into his current contract that is worth roughly £37 million, any club that wants to prise the youngster away from Portugal will have to pay a premium price, given how highly he is rated at the Estádio José Alvalade.
Sporting Lisbon’s president ruled out a move for Carvalho, but he has continued to acquire potential suitors.
The Red Devils were believed to be frontrunners to sign Carvalho but it now seems the uncertainty over their managerial vacancy has complicated matters.
During David Moyes’ tenure, interest from Old Trafford was reportedly strong, but since the Scot has been sacked the club’s pursuit of the midfielder has waned.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have recently sent scouts to watch Carvalho in action during Sunday’s fixture against Estoril, reports Sport Witness, and have jumped ahead of their rivals in the pecking order.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to bolster his squad ahead of their Champions League campaign and would be wise to make a move for Carvalho before the World Cup.

Hopefully we're keeping an eye on the situation with Diego Poyet. He is out of contract at Charlton (although they've offered him a new one) but Arsenal and Barcelona are apparently sniffing around. I'll be honest I've only seen him once (he looked good) but some Charlton fans describe him as their most exciting young player in many years (he turned 19 last month). He's a DM'er btw. He got into the team half way through the season, only played about 20 games but still won their player of the year award.

Obviously I'm a bit reluctant to recommend signing someone I've only seen once but given he's a freebie (although we might have to pay Charlton a small amount of compensation) I hope our scouts are looking into his position.

I would suggest it's gonna be worth paying Charlton £500,000 (at a guess) and then lending Poyet out to a newly promoted EPL team or a highly fancied Championship team and see how he progresses.

Chris Bascombe says Yevhen Konoplyanka, Adam Lallana, Steven Caulker, Luke Shaw are on Liverpool's wanted list

Would be really suprised if Lukaku was a transfer target.

If Kono is still a target then although its rare for us that transfer should be a formality.

Really? According to who?

FULL-BACK Ashley Cole might not be the only player making the switch from Stamford Bridge to Anfield as Liverpool consider a move for Romelu Lukaku.
Cole is already widely rumoured to be considering an offer from Premier League runners up but he isn't the only man that Brendan Rodgers has been keeping an eye on.
Lukaku has been on loan at Liverpool's Merseyside rivals Everton and, after the departure of Andy Carroll, Brendan Rodgers believes the 21-year-old could be the target man he's after.
Lukaku is though to be fond of a move north after his success at the Toffees and Chelsea look willing to cash in as Jose Mourinho seeks to overhaul his squad this summmer.
