El Desmarque, cited by the Daily Star, claim Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the Spaniard to Anfield, believing he would provide a creative spark and a different option to his midfield options.

Isco of Real Madrid
The 27-year-old has found himself out of favour this season and has been linked with a move away for a number of months as a result.
And the report claims Madrid would be willing to sell for £59m as a result, having already rejected a bid of £47.3m from an unnamed club.

Great player but I just don't see it.

Well, he's certainly very different to the midfielders that Klopp has almost exclusively favoured at Liverpool. That's not entirely a compliment.

In fact he doesn't seem to anything like the current mould of modern midfielder, especially in a league like ours.

Manchester United's move for Bruno Fernandes is off because they refuse to meet Sporting Lisbon's £68m asking price for the 25-year-old Portugal midfielder.

Saw a rumour that they're now going for a loan deal for Islam Slimani till the end of the season.

On Talksh!te earlier they were saying that the difference between the clubs is no more than 5 mill.quid.

Their turnover may say otherwise, but in other respects they're doing an excellent imitation of a small-time club.

What? They spent over £140m in summer and have one of the highest wage bills in world football, I don't think theyre short of a few quid.

If anything, this could be Ed trying (belatedly) to try and look shrewd and try and play hardball, given he's been roundly mocked for splashing money about like a drunk sailor and panicking by paying over the odds at every single turn.

This is the man who spent 80m on Harry Maguire, and £50m on the Crystal Palace rightback.

Sporting must know United are flush with cash and desperate, in the end they will pay the asking price.

Wonder if Fernandes regret not following the likes of Patricio and Martins in leaving, back in 2018. 😳

Why is Levy being hailed as some kind of God by Jim White & Kaveh Solehekol?

Because he's able to negotiate a 17m fee for a player who's worth 4x that?

Daily Mail running a story that we wanted Isco before the deadline but we're getting Fabián Ruiz from Napoli instead...any truth to that? Seemsa bit weird considering that we're stacked in midfield.

We’ll sign them both, right after we finalize the paperwork for Tallisca.

Only makes sense if Lallana and Shaq are off, which looks very possible.

Also worth noting that Gini hasn't had a contract renewal, & whilst his form deserves one, the fact he'll be 31 when it runs out & he isn't as uber fit as Milner, may mean we're debating extending it, or won't give him as long as he wants.

Not really fussed about Isco to be honest. He has been one of those players who seems to be off somewhere for years but no takers. As for Ruiz, it’s always nice to be linked to good players. I would rather we gave Gini a new contract. Maybe Klopp has lost patience with Keita?

His past reputation for making mugs of clubs who buy his players, I suppose? I admit, the lustre has lost its shine. He's let the squad turn stale and old, and suddenly his club has been overtaken by others.

The Dutch Ryan Fraser claims he is on the verge of signing for LFC, via the Echo

Dutch Ryan Fraser? He's 17 and only learning the game. He's more like a Dutch Harvey Elliot. Weird for us to move for him when we have the English Harvey Elliot.
