Roma are still trying to sign Shaqiri apparently https://tribuna.com/en/liverpoolfc/news/3548033/
Not sure how I feel about this to be honest. Wanted to see him at Liverpool since World Cup 2014 but it's sort of obvious that he'll never be more than just an option from the bench for us. Probably would be smart to let him go and bring in someone younger as a backup option.
If they made a decent offer of £40m plus, I would sell, no loans. Why let a back-up option go in order to bring in...another back-up option? I didn't want him to begin with, but he's fitted in well and made a real contribution at times. If the guy himself wants out that'd be another matter, but otherwise Roma can go feck themselves.
Lol yes the fabled loan to an Italian club with an option to buy.Why let a back-up option go in order to bring in...another back-up option? I didn't want him to begin with, but he's fitted in well and made a real contribution at times. If the guy himself wants out that'd be another matter, but otherwise Roma can go feck themselves.
[article]Liverpool are considering a swoop for teenage Nice attacker Pedro Brazão in the January transfer window, according to reports from France.
The Reds have already made two signings since New Year, with attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino having arrived from Red Bull Salzburg, and striker Joe Hardy joining the under-23s from Brentford.
And Liverpool could be poised to land a third new recruit with Brazão, a 17-year-old who is also on the radar of PSG, Bayern Munich and Sporting Lisbon.
Brazão is a left winger but can also play on the right flank or as an attacking midfielder.
And Liverpool are weighing up making a bid for the Portugal under-19 international this month, according to RMC Sport via Get Football News France .
After progressing with Nice's under-19s, Brazão joined the club's senior set-up in pre-season and earned a decent amount of playing time, suggesting he was nearing his breakthrough into the first team.
He has so far made just one substitute appearance so far this season, but according to the reports coming out of France it appears Liverpool are hoping to yet again steal a march on their rivals by snapping him up early.
Jurgen Klopp's side were quick to act in luring Minamino following his impressive Champions league displays for Salzburg, wrapping the deal up early so he could sign on January 1, the day the transfer window opened.
And they will hope to be similarly ahead of the game if they choose to swoop for Brazão, who has two caps for Portugal U19s.
