Transfer Rumours 21/22

Have we signed anyone yet ? Big hole in midfield with vanishing Gini, the one and only fit midfielder. If last year was the year without defenders then will this year be the year without midfielders ?
Ben Davies is taking the centre mid spot.

Ha! Very good, is that another new signing then?
What does it matter anymore, you're still gonna get fans moaning....no pleasing everyone I s'pose.

Everton have proven that winning the transfer window every season doesn't constitute to the end all and be all of football.

We've bought a centre back who is extremely highly regarded.

We've also moved ahead on the anfield expansion after 18 months of no match day income.
We're also selling players who should cover the Konate signing

The stand could be leveraged against future income.

I dont think we need a lot of new players. At the start of the summer I'd have been happy with a new CB, new CM and a new Forward. Of course you could argue that Elliot is that new forward. But if we sell anymore I'd like to see them being replaced.

Just my opinion of course, so excuse me when I let out a little fuck when Utd spend the better part of £130m on two players.

Key word being selling, not sold.

[article]SUNDERLAND are close to completing a loan deal for Liverpool youngster Tony Gallacher.

The 22-year-old left-back is set to agree the terms of a season-long loan at the Stadium of Light, although the Black Cats are also understood to have been exploring the possibility of a permanent deal for the defender.

Sunderland have spent the opening stages of their pre-season programme without a recognised left-back, with Callum McFadzean having left as a free agent at the end of last season and Denver Hume still to decide whether to take up the Wearsiders’ offer of a new deal.

It is still hoped that Hume will agree to extend his time with the Black Cats, but whatever his final decision, it was always Johnson’s intention to add at least one more recognised left-back to the squad.

Gallacher, a Scotland Under-19 international, fits that bill, even if he will head to Wearside with only limited senior experience.

The Glaswegian progressed through Falkirk’s academy, and made his senior debut in the Scottish Championship, only for Liverpool to snap him up for a reported fee of £200,000 in January 2018.

His sole senior appearance for the Reds came in a League Cup defeat to Aston Villa in 2019, with Jurgen Klopp opting to name a shadow side with his senior side competing in the World Club Championship, although he has spent three months on loan at MLS side Toronto FC.[/article]

Man City extended Carson's contract, Man Utd signed Heaton, Chelsea signing Bettinelli (Everton signed Begovic). Liverpool extended Adrian's contract. Guess we were too nice to take advantage of 3rd goalie's spot to boost the homegrown players quota. 🥷.

I've never really Seen enough of him to form an opinion but he's clearly highly rated.. shame

Rumours are we've submitted €41m for Saul Niguez and looking at Adama Troare at £30m. If we get those two, I would be happy. However, it would mean we have to offload two foreign players

do we have to offload them or can we just not register / submit them?

'Sources and 'Friends'' say Klopp is not happy at FSG for not backing him with investment this summer.

I wouldn't blame him, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't happy, but I read that story and it smacks of the "journalist" waffling on without really saying anything of any note, just to fill the column inches.
