Clubs with financial troubles would be nice to raid.
Is it right that Lyon also was in a rut, along with Barca?
Aouar perhaps?
I think Lyon have already been picked apart.

The whole* French league is in trouble because their TV deal went tits up.

2 goals and 4 assists and they want £34m, they're taking the piss. I would say at best £25m. Isn't Julain Brandt available? Much rather have him as he can play anywhere across the middle

So you don't want a youngster who is still finding his feet in football in the top league because he has scored only 2 goals and would prefer a player who is now at his peak has scored 3 goals in the Bundesliga? Julian Brandt managed 3 goals for a team where 18-20-year-old kids are hitting FM cheat code numbers.

I am not saying Damsgaard numbers are impressive. But he looked like a Klopp player in the Euros. He might end up being another Minamino but I would definitely prefer him over Brandt who said no to us once already and has not been that impressive in a league where attacking players shine.

At £34M?

How come he only managed 2 goals last season?

If they value him at 34m, then we should ask for 68m for Shaqiri.

There isn't a single club in Europe which will pay twice Damsgaard's transfer fee for Shaqiri, this summer.

One is a talented youngster who looked impressive technically, clever, and looks like a fit for a top club. Shaqiri is also very good technically but his age, injuries, journeyman career, never really established himself at a top club, we are also looking to get rid to raise money means that we won't get more than 15-20 million for him at max.

I was very impressed by Damsgaard but I am not saying we should buy Damsgaard at 34 million. I haven't watched him enough. Your argument against him was his stats. Then you put Julian Brandt as an alternative whose stats are equally bad. Brandt is 25/26 and close to his peak. Playing for a team and in a league where attacking players shine and put up impressive numbers. I would definitely prefer Damsgaard over Brandt.

Brandt is versatile and will probably cost less than £25m, doubt Samps will budge on their valuation.

We owe it to KHL to buy a Danish player at some point.

Arsenal have increased their offer for Brighton defender Ben White and made a third bid of £48m plus £6m in potential add-ons for the 23-year-old England international.

They can get Matip for half the price

A Bola reporting that Porto are close to getting Gruijc for 13 mill €.

There is also talk of Luis Alberto moving from Serie A and back to Spain.
We have a sell on clause that could give us some decent cash aswell, if he moves.

Let’s hope they’re accurate, for a change.

Rumors that Atletico needs money for Luis Alberto and are waiting for the Saul Niguez sale. We need money and are waiting for the Luis Alberto sale to go through.

Yeah, I saw some convoluted circuitous deal that would bring Niguez to us for £40m; atlético replace him with Alberto for £45m (of which we get about £13m ie 30%); and Lazio replace Alberto with Shaqiri for £12m! So Niguez would cost us £15m (and the loss of a peripheral squad player). It seems like a very tidy deal but also very unlikely.

Are you pocketing the spare £5m for brokering the deal or just horrendous at basic addition/subtraction?

Good luck to him. I can see him and Soyunçu forming a decent partnership. Hope the decision not to buy him doesn't come back to bite us on the @rse some day.

Chose not to spend - it's false economy, no money for a player with his combo of youth and quality. Our transfer dealings have generally been spot on, but for me they got this one round their necks.
