Wanting to double your wages is thick? Juve paid Ramsdale £400k a week. Dembele becomes a free agent this summer, so he has every right to see what's out there.
I personally think he is toxic would not want him near the club but club like Newcastle might, and will probably pay him £300k a week plus a massive sign on bonus.

Under normal circumstances No. But like momo said. Barcelona need to reduce their wage bill. So if he wants to stay (as he states), he can't be asking for more.. especially if you've had as many injuries as he has.
It'd be like you being off work for a year.. doing nothing.. then first meeting back with HR asking for double your salary (because there are other jobs out there, but you want to stay... honest!).
But he's out of contract in 6 months time. Barca are stuck between a rock and a hard place. They've got an asset they paid £120m who's about to leave for nothing. Dembele isn't stupid asking for a pay rise, player has all the power in his position. He knows he can sign a pre contract with any foreign team in Jan. Easily get £400k a week and a nice big fat signing on fee too
I'm not sure who, with his attitude, injury and disciplinary records, would be willing to pay him £400k a week, so unsettling other players at the club who see this tosser coming in at that level ? Transfer fee or not. His total failure at Barca has likely marked his card.
Juve, Newcastle, PSG, Man Utd. There's plenty of idiotic teams out there who'd easily sign him up.

Some of the rot started when Fergie was still in charge. Nani, Silva twins, Bebe… Didn’t they also sign some Chinese bloke at one point, purely for commercial reasons? The distinction between a football team and a football theme park was already starting to get blurred then.
