After watching yesterdays game I still want us to sign Bissouma.
He was the best player in that midfield battle by a country mile. He was immense.
18 months left on his contract.

It would be a great reinforcement for the team. He looks great! I've been paying attention to him, too.

p.s. Hi all! 🙂

Welcome JR. 🙂

You're not a new 'Dreamy*' account are you ? 😉

* if you are not then FYI Dreamy is a poster on here from Aus.

Aye, with Gini leaving in the summer and Bissouma widely reported to be available at 35-40m, it still rankles that we didn’t do the obvious deal there and then.
He’s young, already excellent with improvement still to be klopped into him.

A brilliant player but his injury record alone isn't worth even considering.

Probably be asking for 13m net a year?

1 of the clubs definitely Newcastle, no idea who the 2nd could be.

[article]Foot Mercato claim that Liverpool and Newcastle are two of 10 clubs chasing Olympiakos midfielder Aguibou Camara. Compared to Naby Keita, it is believed that Camara will only cost interested parties around £12.5million.

Camara, 20, is currently impressing in the Greek Super League with leaders Olympiakos. Having joined from Lille in the summer, the nine-time Guinea international has surprised many with just how good he has been.

His form has not gone unnoticed. Scoring five goals in 25 games, he has also laid on four assists – with Olympiakos winning 13 of their 15 league games, drawing the other two. He is set to travel for the African Cup of Nations.

The report claims that 10 clubs will be watching him during the competition including Liverpool and Newcastle. Foot Mercato liken him to Reds ace Keita, and say that a fee of £12.5million will be enough – albeit next summer.[/article]

Ginter, Zakaria, Kessie, Kamara (& Mbappe 😛) - landing free transfers like them (I guess despite the signing on fees and what not, the cost will still be lower than signing them from clubs) will allow us to stretch our transfer kitty.

Maybe stick Ben Johnson the right back at West Ham on the bargain out of contact list, and a less serious suggestion… Pukki might fancy sitting on our bench in case of emergency

To be honest, I can’t wait for Elliott to return. We badly need a midfielder like him; someone who can both create and run 14 miles in every game.

And Jones should help too. He looked decent in the few minutes he was on the pitch. Our midfield needs fresh blood.

Fully agree. The club must think he’s ready in terms of ability by starting him early this season. Henderson can’t play like him and he did work well with Salah and Trent.

Would Jones work up front in Mane's position? Bobby, Taki and Origi are out anyway. He's crafty and has that bit of arrogance that many elite attackers have, I think.
