Why on earth is that transfer happening? One last paycheck?
@Beamrider will tell you, our transfer spend has been limited because we have decided to reward fucking football Agents. Every fucking year for the last 4-5 years we have been paying agents between 20-30m a year.

Atletico have fallen out of the title race and likely won't make a huge stir in Europe. Time to come home and cash in as the first star of the Howevolution.
That plus the fact that, despite having played for Tottenham, Trippier's from up North himself originally and will be able to live close to family if he goes to the Toon. Such things matter more to some players than to others.
