All this blaming the agent stuff etc. is the start of a face-saving exercise if Torres' dream move doesn't come off. He's a coward.

I find it hard to believe there are Torres apologists on this site at the moment. How naive can you get? I understand that this is going to affect your sticker album but get your head out of your arse and look at the facts. He regularly puts no effort in, wants to go to Chelsea for 200k a week, has been working behind the scenes to achieve it whilst pretending to reassure the club and the fans, is using the piss weak excuse of the club not spending money when, in actual fact, it has just broken its transfer record etc.

As for 'badly advised', don't make me laugh. Who are we talking about here, Justin Bieber? He knows exactly what he's doing, which is why if he stays the agent will get the blame and the lemming fans will believe it.

It galls me that Kenny is having to convince this twat to stay. Leave it Kenny, he ain't worth it. Get the money and buy someone better than this perma-crocked work-shy mercenary.

the last paragraph of that article is true, to sell to a rival, strengthening them whilst weakening us totally confirms us as a second tier team in the league.

we do need to prove to torres he's wrong, by selling him abroad and signing Aguero and some other top talents in the summer.

It is a crucial battle: City kept Tévez, United kept Rooney, Arsenal kept Fabregas, Chelsea retained Terry. It seems unlikely Liverpool and Torres will experience a detente, as in all of those cases. But to lose him would confirm their place outside of England’s elite. It would prove Torres right. Liverpool cannot afford to be different. For their future, they must show Torres he is wrong.

How would you know he's working behind the scenes? Such bollocks, and and EVERY player out there was shit under hodgson. Kenny is back and he's putting more of an effort in than anyone. How does that work with your conspiracy theory?
