Yeh Sky Sports are always right.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Its a load of shite.

Theres a 50 Million trigger clause in his contract, let them fucking trigger it.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I'm finally, officially, done with Sky Sports News.

They never bothered me before, but the last season or two has made me come round to the way the majority of you on here think.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Well, we're seeing some true colours from people here, aren't we ?

Believe everything Skynet tells you, do we ?

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

A week before we play them, Chelski offer 35-40 Million for Torres who put 2 past them under Roy fucking Hodgeson.

They are shitting themselves now because he is playing better under Kenny.

guillem has twittered "dont shoot the messenger, im a liverpool fan myself and i wouldnt have said this if it wasnt true"

or words to that effect

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

The minute I saw it this morning, I knew he'd be tempted by it. It was a matter of time before we would be forced to consider it.

If he does't want to stay, sell his arse. Go in hard to Suarez and Young.

That would be silly. If Torres goes, we need two strikers to replace him.

Then we need a defensive midfielder
Then a left back
Then a winger
Then a winger
Then a centre back

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Torres- brilliant, prolific striker that burst on the scene at age 17 and played regularly from that early age.

can anyone think of players with similar profiles? How were they in their late twenties?

Given that risk, 50m isn't to be sniffed at

That's why I think there may be some truth in this.

"My head is in Liverpool and on helping to save our season. I am a professional and I always fulfil my deals." - Torres on 9 Jan

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I am not that bothered really. Two outcomes, both of which I am happy with:

1) We sell Torres for 50m pounds, at the least, and I hate him forever for going to Chelsea, because it's fucking Chelsea that's why. Second biggest shower of cunts in world football in my opinion. And it will be an easy hate. It won't be the latent, divisive hate that we all had brewing for Michael before he joined Manure and we all hated him full on.

2) We don't sell Torres, he declares his everlasting love for us, all is well at LFC.

Can't go wrong.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Asbo, that was before he knew he had another option on the table.

Options do that crap to you: make you change your mind.

Would you take £50m if it was on offer for him? I don't think i'd be too unhappy either way if that was the amount we'd be getting personally.

Hi again Sunny!

The next line that followed was something along the lines of "This is football and it depends on the club" now that has number of things to it I would imagine and not that the club needs to accept a bid.

I read that as "unless the club decides to sell me"

£50m would be tempting to be fair. Maybe £60m....
I disagree. I dont see anything tempting by selling Torres to a rival for 50-60 mill pounds if we are to rebuild this club.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Sell him for £50mil, sign Suarez for about £20mil ish, get Young and Adam for the other £30mil. I won't be shedding any tears.
