Has he not signed for Milan?

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

If Torres leaves I'd like to think he'd go back to Spain.

But I have a feeling it would be city or Chelsea.

??

Which part?

I would prefer Torres to go abroad than join and English side, however he has said before that the EPL suits his style of play more.

And if he stays in England then there really are only 2 options for him.

What's wrong with stating that>

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Everything.

But don't worry. Everyone makes mistakes.

Q.E.D!

100 million can get us a great spine plus squad

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I love Nando... but he deserves to be at a club who can match his ambitions. If a foreign club comes in for him in the summer, i'll be devastated but I'll understand if he wants to go.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

£35m + Essien, Malouda & anelka and I might be mildly interested.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Redtops are saying 60m.

Could we resist that?

I'd like to think so but if push came to shove we could potentially add three world class players to replace him.

Potentially being the key word.

6 nzogbias is far more likely.

I wouldn't even take that. They can go fuck, we're not Spurs.

Is Patrick Barclay right then ?
Yep, it wasn't Roy's fault.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

It said on the radio this morning Torres has a £50m release clause written into his contract, and today I saw the same thing from another source.
If that is true, it seems to me if Chelsea were serious they would have by-passed Liverpool and tested Torres resolve.

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I'd sell him for £50m, and spend the money on Suarez, Forlan and Elia. We'd be transformed.

No, we wouldn't. And from all accounts, we have the money to buy Suarez and a winger already. Why the hell would you want to sell Torres to do that?
Well you probably got his point. If we had £50m extra for transfers we could do a helluva lot with it. So if we already have money for Suarez and a winger we could still buy Hazard, Mertesacker, M'Vila and another striker for example.

I love Torres but £50m would be hard to resist. Not in January though, no time to buy replacements now.

I don't want to lose Torres.
I don't want to lose busting-a-gut-up-for-it Torres but sulky-twat-who-doesn't-want-to-be-here Torres - well, for £50m, he can fuck right off.
