to be fair, torres wanting out isn't 'that' far fetched.
To be fair, if it is as Ballbag says that there isn't a clause. We can tell both Torres and Chelsea to stuff it.

He's under contract, we don't want to sell and we don't have to sell.

GuillemBalague

Torres wants Liverpool to keep negotiating with Chelsea. There's NO buyout clause.Four days to go before a POSSIBLE exit of the striker
But Guillem, Liverpool have not negotiated to start with. Chelsea put in an offer and we said no, he is not for sale.

I have very mixed feelings on this to be honest. If we had an offer in the region of £60m+ it would be difficult to turn down, but would hate to see him playing for another PL team.
As Sunny says he can be a sulky fucker at times, but I think we need to see how Torres and Suarez do together.

regards

TonyBarretTimes: Just to clarify, no indications whatsoever from Torres that he wants to leave LFC

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

So they couldnt afford Aguero and turn to a better striker??? How does that make any logic....

Can someone please tell Roman that Hicks left 4 months ago!!!

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I'm not convinced that torres and suarez will work together well. But even if they don't, we still have 2 top drawer footballers

Good. We want to improve the team and win something, not sell any of our star players.

It makes no sense, if FSG have any ambition for the club, to let this happen
I always thought that the perfect strke partnership would be Torres/Rooney.
I think Suarez has something of the style of play of Rooney about him and so am very hopeful that him and Nando will hit it off.

What if Chelsea turn to Suarez after Torres?
Dunno. A few reports coming out of the London media is that these bids from Chelsea are just bluster. Abramovich is apparently getting bored with his Chelsea plaything and this is a way of generating some interest and they knew the bids for Aguero and Torres would get rebuffed. Who knows for sure though ? We can only speculate - which we do quite well.
It's not. He's nothing but a wind up cunt who knows fuck all and for some reason believes he has inside knowledge at Liverpool which he doesn't. He said Maxi was going to Espanyol for ages whilst others knew it was nailed on for Liverpool.

Bullshite. That Bellendague can fuck off the attention grabbing twat. Not that i'm bezzies with Torres and not that i know what he thinks but to go to any other Prem club would be an utter fuck up for him. The idea is just daft.

Torres: I will honour my contract
Fernando Torres has rejected speculation he could quit Liverpool and has called for supporters to get behind the squad.
The Reds' star striker has been linked with a move away from Anfield following a poor season which has seen Roy Hodgson replaced by fans' favourite Kenny Dalglish.
The former Atletico Madrid man has been linked with an improbable switch to arch-rivals Manchester United, something he has quickly poured cold water over.
The 26-year-old marksman is contracted to the Merseysiders until the summer of 2013, with the option of a further year, and he insists he will see out his deal.
Torres admits the Reds have endured a below-par campaign and has called on everyone who supports the club to give their backing in a bid to turn around their season.
"More than ever, we need to stick together," he told The People. "We must live in the present, from match to match.
"We need to add more points, win matches and improve our standing in the table.
"That is our challenge and I demand the total help of our supporters in doing that.
"My head is in Liverpool and on helping save our season. I am professional and I always fulfil my deals.
"I haven't considered leaving, although in football that depends on the club.
"Liverpool had a lot of success under Rafa Benitez and that is difficult for anyone to follow.
"Even if the ball hasn't always dropped our way this season, we have missed out in a lot of matches."

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Someone told me "Torres want to leave" was breaking news on Sly Sports?

Take it that's lies?

Liverpool FC tell Chelsea to forget it after receiving bid for Fernando Torres
Luke Traynor
Jan 28 2011

LIVERPOOL have turned down a bid from Chelsea to sign Fernando Torres and insist the star striker is simply not for sale.

Details of Chelsea's move for the striker emerged just three days before the end of the transfer window.

The London club have tabled an offer of around £35m for the striker, which was promptly rejected by Liverpool.

A Reds spokesman said: "Chelsea have made a bid for Fernando, which has been turned down.

"The player is not for sale."

Chelsea will now decide if they are prepared to make a further offer for Torres between now and Monday.

But if they do so, owner Roman Abramovic will be issued with another clear 'hands-off' from the Liverpool hierarchy who absolutely have no intention of cashing in on their star number nine.

Sources within Anfield are not entertaining any thoughts of Torres leaving Merseyside, and the five times European champions are keen for the striker to form a new and exciting partnership with Ajax's Luis Suarez, if that deal can be agreed before Monday.

Ajax had set a deadline of tomorrow for any transfer to be wrapped up, but with the two club's valuations of the player still some way apart, the Dutch side wanting between £20-25m for the Uruguyan, negotiations have not been straightforward.

Torres, meanwhile, has endured a frustrating season at Anfield, scoring nine goals in 25 appearances for the club.

But he has looked rejuvenated under new caretaker boss Kenny Dalglish, and scored twice last Saturday in the Reds' 3-0 win against Wolves.

Liverpool have progressed up the Premiership in recent weeks under the Scot's stewardship, moving to seventh after Wednesday's win against Fulham at Anfield.

They remain nine points behind Chesea, who are fourth, while Carlo Ancelotti's side, who themselves have struggled for form this season, stand ten points behind league leaders Manchester United.

Torres returned to Anfield after winning the World Cup with Spain in the summer where he had struggled with form and a knee injury which plagued him througout the competition and looked out-of-sorts under manager Roy Hodgson.

It is reported the striker, whose contract expires in 2013, has a £50m buyout clause in his contract, which could test Chelsea's resolve in the coming days and demonstrate how keen they are to land the 26-year-old's services.

The Spaniard has been subject to transfer speculation before, last underlining his desire to stay at Liverpool after returning from South Africa last summer by stating 'my commitment and loyalty to the club and its fans is the same as it was on the first day that I signed."

Re: Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

The chav cunts can piss right off with their £35m bid.

Torres will hopefully come out and say that he wants to stay and put this to bed, if not then we should make sure that we get at least £50m for him.
