Like Jon said earlier in the thread, the bid is enough to unsettle him. And I think he will be gone in the summer when we don't qualify for CL.

If Roy was still here, Torres would have pushed for the move and made it happen.

Torres is probably the best striker in the world. Replacing with someone of an equal calibre would required you to spend 25m or so. So selling him for 50m leaves you with around 25m to play with. Which I strongly suspect FSG would be willing to spend anyway. So I think it makes retarded sense.

So unless Torres forces our hands, there should be no fucking way that we should be considering ANY offer for him.

And there is a lot of nonsense being talked about being unsettled. Someone bidding for him is neither here nor there. He knows he could move to just about any team in the world if he wanted. He wouldn't move to the chavs, nor would I let him, regardless of price. No fucking way.
