If it's true then we're paying £10m over the odds for Carroll but this was always gonna happen because Newcastle know we have cash from the Torres deal. I'm excited about it anyway because i think he will be a huge success with us.

To be fair we are selling Torres 10 million or so over his value (on current form), so it balances itself out...

So, to summarise, we're selling one sulky prick with an attitude who doesn't want to be here for just about what he's worth and replacing him with a talented, but inexperienced striker with some issues who doesn't really want to be at Liverpool, is currently injured and were paying about 3 times what he's worth.

That's fucking gay. It really is.

I'd rather see dirk labour alone upfront for the rest of the season.

50M + some other lad - OK, it's what we would have got in the Summer and hopefully Torres will be perma-injured as he was with us. Worst case was his hams went again and no-one wanted him, so I'm OK with 50M.

Carroll - not the one I wanted but he's young, English and talented. Just got to wean him off the booze. If it's Carroll & Young for Torres then with Suarez already here we have a much stronger, and less injury prone, team.

Seriously, what are we expecting?

He's 22, living the dream of every young kid playing for his boyhood club. Then someone says you're being sold to a club you've hated all your young years and they're performing worse than we are.

At what point does that make you keen.
