Torres gone. Scum gone to more scum

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

It seems Newcastle pulled a figure out the air, and we went ok. Not no how about 30. It's either we have a bottomless pit of money. Or someone is fucking mental. Oh and carrol isn't even in the country he's having treatment abroad. I really don't want him for that price.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

A Striker who can HEAD THE BALL.

Or a Head the Ball who's a Striker?

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

What if, and it's a very big IF, we bought Carroll for 35M and then turned around and told Roman to piss off? We'd have 3 very very good strikers. Well, 2 and 1 little bitch.

Twatterface on Talkshite reckons Carroll not overly keen.

FUCK OFF THEN GREB HEAD !

Seriously, what are we expecting?

He's 22, living the dream of every young kid playing for his boyhood club. Then someone says you're being sold to a club you've hated all your young years and they're performing worse than we are.

At what point does that make you keen.
1 Geordies hate the Mackems not us.

2 we are actually ABOVE them in the League how are we performing worse than them?

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Torres is a brilliant header of the ball if that's a criteria.

We're being bummed. Big time.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Someone help me, ive got a knobhead Evertonian in work arguing with me.

It can be written into Torres’ contract that he cant play against us next week cant it? Its happened before in the past with a high profile signing in the Premier league but cant for the life of me remember who. Can anyone remember this happening before???

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Has Carroll said that he's isnt overly keen on the transfer?

I doubt that we would bid if we didn't know he could be interested, most bids aren't submitted without a possible positive outcome.

How many more £30 million plus transfers have they left in them?
With Llorente, Negredo, Lukaku and others out there, why the fuck are getting raped for Carroll?
Has he got the mental strength to cope with being the 8th most expensive player of all time?
Has he fuck. He hasn't got the mental strength to live alone ffs. He's a fucking ehadcase.

This. This! Fucking THIS!!!!

As far as I'm aware the FA put a stop to these caveats being included in transfers. You can still do this with loan deals though.

but was it worth tieing our hands on his value for? what was it FSG have said about damaging short-term decisions?

6 months of sulky service, great. purslow fucked up.
Yeah, that's agreed.

Maybe he thought Torres would stop bein a mardy arse and once we improved he'd be a lot happier to stay at Liverpool.

About the buyout clause; you're rght in that 50 million would be the maximum abd therefore selling for 48 now isnt altogether a bad thing.

But there is a possibility that we could get more assuming another team bidsmore and Torres is happy to go there, isnt there?

Obviously if Chelsea bid 50 million and Spurs bid 60, we'd be fucked because Torres would go to Chelsea.

But if Barca came along things might be different.

Then again, Torres could be on he physio in April and we'd get nothing anyway.

*shrugs*
Umm... why would anyone bid more than 50m in the summer?

Do you remember it happening a few years ago with a high profile deal Pease?

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Am I the only one who thinks this is a brilliant move? Putting aside that the sulky twat is off, and we are paying over the odds, I think that it could be an excellent signing for the future.

Talking to the missus yesterday about Suarez I said we needed a target man he could feed off, and after being asked who that could be I could only think of three - Llorente (whom I don't know a lot about), Lukaku (young and inexperienced but probably will be the real deal) and Andy Carroll.

He is an absolute beast, and I think he'll be a class act for years to come. At times he is unplayable.

Adam 24, Suarez 23, Carroll 22 - thats the right age to be buying.

-------------------------Carroll-------------------------
-----------------Suarez--------------------------------
Cole/Maxi/Kuyt-----------------------------Gerrard
---------------Adam---------Ming--------------------

I like. We can't control the price or the departure of whiny cunt.

I'm not sure the first part of that statement is accurate. As for the second bit then it's not you can it's that they are not permitted to at all.

They've hated us for an age; we've derided them and mocked them for longer but they hate us and happily so. We give it to the mancs, the bitters and, more recently, Chelsea and Spurs. The only thing that has made it easier is two of our legends have been their managing them recently.

As for the league - they're two points behind us with a game in hand. We've been a mess most of the season and, while we're convinced that Kenny will turn everything around perfectly that isn't necessarily a belief held by everyone.

I don't think a clause can be written in, pretty certain. We can certainly have a gentlemans agreement though.
