Torres for 48M is a joke.
In what way ? It's a good price for a player who's not been arsed for 18 months

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

How long is Carroll gonna be out with his thigh injury? If he has to have surgery we wont see him in action until at least the middle of march.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

we are definately a soft touch. as a club we simple cannot countenance anyone being on the books that wants out and as a result allow ourselves to be fucked. read alonso, mash and now torres.

Well Alonso was touted all over Europe by Rafa.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

You're all letting your feelings cloud matters.

He is one of the best players in the world and even when he wasn't arsed and sulking supposedly, he got 18 goals in 20 starts last season. If Carroll is worth 30M and a fucked Kaka 65M, Torres is worth more than 48M. And that's before you consider the fact that it's the last fucking day of the January transfer window. Not the summer window, the January transfer window. And he's going to a domestic rival.

We're getting fucked.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I think when those pictures of torres in blue are finally released it is going to cut a lot a lot deeper than owen in white.

I tried 🙂 but I can just see this one going that way, we always get conned on the last day of transfer. Evry fcking time.

KEEP THE FAITH!!!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Sky had Torres leaving at 1/10 15 minutes ago it's now 2/5.
Not a done deal yet.
Ballague saying he is still in Liverpool negotiating.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Lawyers negotiating Torres contract but no deal yet. £150k per week salary + £2m a year 'image rights'. Torres goes to London not Cobham#cfc

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Wait..this Torres story is real?? All along I thought this was just more media bullshit just like every transfer window. Now nearly everyone saying this is a done deal and Torres en route to London to sign?? I honestly thought Torres was different but I guess he is just a money grabbing cunt like the rest of them. Oh well at least we are getting paaaaaaid and we are still Liverpool. Enjoy Fernanda's brilliance in his 9 games a year when he ISN'T injured you blue shit plastic flag waving knobs.
What? They offered 28m We said NO. They offered 30m we said NO. They offered 35m We said NO. They offered 40m + Sturridge we said NO. They offered 48m We said YES.

We negotiated 20m more than the original offer.

Aye what a touch we are.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I agree with Keni.

Insig: don't fucking start with the Alonso shit.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

So do I. The £50 mill.fee in the release clause in his contract should be a non-negotiable minimum.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I'm hearing Carroll deal done in principal subject to torres deal going through. Ngog going the other way on loan till the end of the season

Newcastle have now canceled press conference today.

Maybe we should offer 5M for Carroll and then when they sell him for 10M, the fans can go "OH WAIT, WE GOT DOUBLE WJHAT THEY ORIGINALLY OFFERED - WE'RE ACE AT NEGOTIATING!".

the alonso fee was excellent imo. i think the torres fee is about fair, given that he's dead set on chelsea and no-one else is bidding.

the obvious counter to oncy's argument.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

If the 50m clause is true then we'd have done well to get that amt of money in now. The season's kinda over and with the $ and end to speculation, will allow us to plan ahead for new season.

SSN before ads "TOrres 30 mins away from Chelsea"

SSN After ads "torres wil head to Chelsea if a deal can be agreed"

Twats.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I like Andy Carroll but we sure as shit should not be paying 30m pounds for him if Torres is worth 48 or 50. that's madness. 20m max in my opinion.
