Dreamy is sensibly commenting on the context of the *actual* game that was played the other night. In that game, with 20 minutes to go, I would have snapped yer arm off for a draw. It is all very well saying we should have won, but we were away from home and the other team was outplaying us. In that context, you take whatever you can get.

Exactly.

Actually, they're both right, but Ryan is missing Dreamy's point.

Although I suspect he's missing it on purpose, just so he can have another pop at him.

Nope.

I'm commenting on the context of the game too, because it's something that can be changed. Just in the way we were raping Swansea for 45 minutes and then it shifted, so too could the momentum that Swansea had built up in the second half.

2-1 up against an unspectacular side with 25 minutes to go, who are yes building some pressure, doesn't mean you just accept mediocrity. We could have wrestled back control of the game, I don't see why that's controversial or in disupte?

And based on your and Dream'y logic, you lot would be happy with 4 points from our first 4 games if that's the case. Cos the same fucking scenario of being under pressure in the 2nd half whilst leading has played out in everyone of those games.

Except we wouldn't be top of the league with 4 points so it's kinda moot.

I can't speak for Dreamy but when we were 2-1 up, I wouldn't have accepted a draw. When Swansea equalised, and then they kept battering us, well that was the point where I would've gladly accepted a point. So I still don't understand where you're coming from.

My point was, which I've clearly iterated half a fucking dozen times, that at 2-1 up with 25 minutes to go that we should be disappointed at ending up with a draw.

Are you confused?

Yep that sums it up.

We need to address the obvious problems our team have in the 2nd half of losing control of the game (whether this is down to fitness or being told to sit back who knows)

But relative to how the game went I was happy with a draw as you can't play well in every game all season long and that was definitely a point won as opposed to 2 lost in my opinion. Now its up to Rodgers and co to figure out how to maintain the level of dominance we show in the opening 30 mins of games or at least how to put a big enough score on the board that losing impetus in the 2nd half won't cost us points.

25 mins is a long time in football Ryan.

If it was 2-1 with 5 mins to go then yes, but at 2-1 I never expected that to be the end of the scoring the way both teams defended. Yes it was shit to conede but the nat 2-2 it easily could have been 3-2 to them as they were the only 1's looking likely to score from that point.

And we should stop talking about the next 3-4 games. Its all about Soton.
Evey time we plan ahead it goes to hell. No game is easy in this league.

huh? Don't get you, are you talking about the people on forums? Posters should be able to get post 9 games ahead if they want - if people don't like the topic it will die its natural death.

Did you read my post? I doubt it. Because that's exactly what I fucking said.

Top 4 teams now are what will be there at the end of the season.

Unless Suarez makes a major impact similar to last season, we aren't challenging for it.

For me, our balance in midfield is all wrong and need to start playing in the other team's half.

Long way to go its a marathon not a sprint I all changes so quickly like next weekend the top four at the moment have got tricky games
