Allen is injured. We also changed 2 out of 4 in defence with one CB who hasnt played a game since May.
The thing is, we're improving. Slowly but surley.
Yes we have issues in midfield, we had a makeshift defence, an injury to Coutinho and a semi fit Sturridge.

But, as I said last night. Last season it took us 9 games to reach 10 points.
We're starting to look like a team that is hard to beat.
Not long ago this team lost when other clubs looked hard on them. Now we grind out results.
We'll improve and our new players will improve. Rodgers has already said we need more quality signings before we're at the level we want.

I'd rather we grind out 10 points and be top of the league and knowing that the side will improve.
Than playing brilliant football without any issues and lost 2 out of 4 games.

We're not fantastic and we've got issues to sort out. But my fucking God how great it is to be hard to beat and able to get a result while we're finding our form.

In a week the best player in the league returns aswell.

You were the one writing shit in huge letters, not me. Joe Allen is injured.

It is a genuine frustration of mine and I believe Rodgers have made a huge mistake in the transfer market.

Initially it is not about any specific player but the sheer fact we are looking incredibly lost for creativity in midfield should Coutinho get injured. Eriksen was a dream signing for me obviously and a very available one too why it's even more frustrating that we have failed to improve our depth in that department.

You can disagree of course, but then you'd be the one "writing shit".

Ffs khl, we didn't sign him.

He may not have even wanted to come here.

We don't know that for certain. What we do know is that we didn't sign him.

So please, just get over it & shut the fuck up about fucking Eriksen.

Quite pathetic FFF seeing as I have mentioned him ONCE after he signed for Spurs.

But yeah must have been a torrid time for you to read that one post of mine where I even made a bit of fun about it too.

You banged on about him for about three fucking years though mate.

Now, he's clearly never gonna pay for us & you're still talking about him.

I'm going to burn this website down if eriksen keeps getting mentioned

4 of the 'top 6' play against each other in 1 of their next 4 games (Man Utd, Man City & Tottenham, Chelsea).
n4.jpg

Southampton (away at Liverpool, Man Utd)
Sunderland (at home vs Liverpool, Man Utd),
Aston Villa (at home vs Man City, Tottenham)
Cardiff (home vs Tottenham, away to Chelsea),
West Ham (away to Tottenham, home vs Man City),
West Brom (away to Man Utd, home vs Arsenal) and
Norwich (home vs Chelsea, away to Arsenal) face 'top 6' teams twice in their next 4 games.

If we can collect around 10 from those four we could be increasing the gap.

Chelsea's a potential bananskin of fixtures with their shaky start in mind.

Top 6:

1 Liverpool
2 Arsenal
3 Tottenham Hotspur
4 Manchester City
5 Manchester United
6 Chelsea

Coincidence? I think not.

And we should stop talking about the next 3-4 games. Its all about Soton.
Evey time we plan ahead it goes to hell. No game is easy in this league.

I don't see what all the fuss is about...

10 Pts from 4 games.. If we manage that over a course of a Season we would win the title with games to spare...

So if we get 10 Pts from the next 4 games I'd be well chuffed!

We've got issues to figure out for sure, but we are looking so much better. This regime isn't built on a house of cards, and this is not a mirage. We will finish better than last year. But yes, there are problems, resolvable, but they need to be addressed.

Easy points? What game were you watching? We got completely outplayed in the 2nd half and were lucky to get a point.

Disappointed yet but easy points dropped?

FFS.

So you're happy with us losing leads with 25 minutes to go against sides that finished below us last year and have infinitely less resources than us? Scraping a point from a winning position is great as far as you're concerned.

You must fuck some absolute rats.

Football is played on the pitch Ryan, not on paper or in your tactical head.

We were by far the worst side in the 2nd half and were lucky to get a point.

Would I have liked us to hang on? Of course.

But this is the 4th time this season we haven't killed a side off in the 1st half and the 1st time we got punished in the 2nd half for it.

We were missing our best player, had a half fit striker, our best current attacking player went off injured, our best CB this year didn't start, we had a criminally unfit cb starting, our captain disappeared and had a winger who couldn't run in the 2nd half.

So yes I'm happy we got a point away to a very talented side. We could easily have lost.

Spurs have by far the most difficult next 4 games. Two London derbies and away games at Villa and Cardiff. Nice !

DB is right.

*peaks through blinds to check for further signs of the apocalypse*

Actually, they're both right, but Ryan is missing Dreamy's point.

Although I suspect he's missing it on purpose, just so he can have another pop at him.

Dreamy is sensibly commenting on the context of the *actual* game that was played the other night. In that game, with 20 minutes to go, I would have snapped yer arm off for a draw. It is all very well saying we should have won, but we were away from home and the other team was outplaying us. In that context, you take whatever you can get.

If Man U only managed a draw against them. We wouldn't be having this discussion
