So thats Cucurella, Fofana and De Jong. Spending a lot of money.
Im guessing the period when you can write off big losses due to Covid is over. So Chavs can splash the cash randomly this window and be stuck meeting FFP for the next few. They're already making big losses on wages alone. Unless they plan to do some creative sponsorships like City.

Leicester look in the shite if Schmeichel, Fofana, Maddison all go, maybe Vardy too. Rodgers wasn't doing great last season - maybe he ran out of magic envelope tricks.

The new Chelsea owners promised a lot of money to overhaul the team and stadium, didn't they? The good news is that this is all being funded through loans to the club, so the days of unlimited finance are over for Chelsea, they're going to need to be run much like us.

Colwill might end up being a coup for Brighton (like Lamptey, or Guehi at Crystal Palace).

I think many people are underestimating Chelsea based on Tuchel making negative noises in preseason and that result vs Arsenal. It's nothing new for a manager to sound bitter and negative when he's trying to force the club into more signings, but objectively getting rid of Lukaku in favour of Sterling will be an improvement and Koulibaly and Cucurella are excellent additions in defense. I think they'll finish ahead of Arsenal and certainly United.

Edited for further precision.

So in other words you don't have high expectations then.

I think Chelsea have every chance of making it a three way run for the title

Disagree. They're defo in the running for a CL place overall but I don't think they'll be strong enough to match us and Citeh in the race for first and second. They need to rebuild the spine of that team and I don't think it'll happen quickly enough to make them title challengers, not this coming season anyway.

I see nothing from Chelsea that makes me concerned. Bought a defender that Salah consistently put on his arse, linked to left back they don't need, and the forward they bought is inconsistent at best.

Arguable they're worse in every department bar goalkeeper this year.

I'd agree they'll probably come closest to doing so, but I don't think they'll fully manage it.

I expect them to struggle a bit but mostly because of too many new faces, not because they'd be worse off with the personnel. Their defensive options are obviously a downgrade from last year but midfield looks stronger with Gallagher coming in, Sterling is much better than Werner and Lukaku scored only 2 league goals more than Broja did for a shit Southampton side.

Agreed Spurs look the best bet for 3rd, as weird as that sounds

Will Gallagher start at Chelsea though? I struggle to see for whom.

I don't think he will on the regular. But he gives them more depth and he's infinitely better than Loftus Cheek or Saul who covered for Kante, Kovacic and Jorginho last year
