I was curiously looking at fixtures to see what City & Chelsea have coming up. The games in the next month or so look pretty evenly matched e.g. all playing a mix of fodder and rivals.

At the moment it is crazy how well all three of us have started, and although these fixtures will become congested with other games e.g. CL and League Cup, we really need to see one or both of these to have a blip and fall off the pace.

Anyway - not looking to predict points - just interested in seeing respective upcoming fixtures side by side.

Thanks mate. Big weekend for us. 3 Points there is important and will give us a good chance towards to the Fulham and CL games coming after. There is no room for complacency but it seem that we have gone through a tough opening with more points than our previous seasons would served us. Teh Squad seem strong and the competition internally should keep all on their toes. So lets give Arsenal a hell of a beating, and then hope Mourinho work his Magics the weekend after.

I think you got the last one wrong.
We play against Bournemouth away the same day Man C play Chelsea.

Chelsea have the easiest run of the 3, but you just never know where the surprise loss or draw is coming. City and us both have Watford away. We have the bitters at home, and they'll be busting their nuts to get something against us, as always, though at least we won't be facing the disgraceful anti-footy of Allardyce. Bournemouth away is another testing fixture for us. Fair play to Eddie Howe, he's doing magnificently.

Poor admin on my part. Anyway - i got excited by City's potential banana skins and realised we had the same ones (Bournemouth, Watford)

I think all of the teams in our run will play into our hands - I can't see any of these parking the bus. Maybe Burnley but they are a mixed bag at the moment.

I posted this is t’other thread...

“City’s last 16 games in the league including back end of last season, won 13, drawn 3.

Ridiculous consistency.”

They’re going to be hard to catch, but we can do it.

they should have dropped points on monday. i didnt think it clicked and had spurs have really attacked walker who had an absolute fucking stinker, they could have had some real joy. they will get undone on the odd set piece and it really surprises me that they havent as of yet.

I thought Chelsea had the harder run personally.
With 4 home games ?! We have 4 away. Chelsea have the easiest run, City next and we have the toughest. Yep agree with Leftie, Chelsea could go top after those 6 but more likely City will still be top (unless they lose at Chelsea) and we'll be third.

But Chelsea have to play City and Spurs (compared to just Arsenal for us), and we have to be beating Burnley, Bournemouth and Watford, even if its away.

Exactly. Bournemouth are 6th and Watford 7th .. on the strength of their home games. So that's 3 Top 7 away games for us.

Here's another way of looking at it (useless stat overload warning) : City's opponents rating (based on league positions) : 53. Liverpool ; 61. Chelsea ; 57.

Easier just to focus on one game at the time.
These «next 6-9 games» threads never goes as planned anyway.

Yep x 1 million

I hate this type of discussion (not saying we shouldn’t have them, before anyone starts, I just think they’re stupid and pointless)

We need to win most of our games, home and away, and get as many points as possible.
