My original comment was that hopefully Rodwell's goal will deflate MU, not stop any run. If it is MU's run, hopefully their run for the 19th or 4th consecutive PL.

FUCK spurs 2-0 up

& arn't Roma doing well in the italian league? only 5 points off leaders Inter..

3-0 spurs FT

1 Chelsea 27 61
2 Man Utd 27 57
3 Arsenal 27 55
4 Tottenham 27 46
5 Man City 26 46
6 Liverpool 27 45
7 Aston Villa 26 45

Very close up there guys..

Gah, it's awful watching Real these days.

Alonso spraying the ball about, Ronaldo scoring for fun... poo.

Real 2-0 up against Villarreal already and looks like it'll end up a cricket score at this rate.

Ronaldo is getting pretty good at those shitty free kicks of his as well. Cunt.

Man United change formation, go to a 4-4-2 and lose their first game in ages, getting thumped by Everton.

I can't wait for the next person on this site to start banging on about how playing two up front makes you more attacking.

It doesn't make you more attacking, and I'm not disagreeing with you Ryan, but I just think some posters are sick of seeing one man in the box for us whenever we attack.

We've had 'one man in the box' for 2 years now Hal, and last year we scored more than any other team in Britain.

In terms of formation 1 up front suits our personnel. But we usually have Kuyt getting into the box, Benayoun/Riera and Gerrard. Especially at the back end of last season. We haven't seen that at all recently.

Like I said, I'm not disagreeing with you. Lumping more players up top doesn't necessarily mean you score more.

I agree. Our attacks and foryas forward have been predictable and stoic of late. Hopefully the introduction of Torres, Benayoun and Johnson freshen things up a bit.

Yeah I was just going to comment on that in another thread where you had said the same thing. These players coming back will no doubt improve our attacking play. If they don't, then something is wrong.

Last year we did a lot of things better than this year, this year it isn'y working! It's a bit of a moot point anyway as Rafa won't ever change his precious system.

I read somewhere that we have kept the most clean sheets in the Premiership and WE are not the team who have conceded most from set-pieces, Chelsea have

Don't know how true the 2nd one is, but the 1st one is true i think !

So much for Zonal marking, and that awful defence of ours 🙂

Slightly better than losing.

Looks like it is going to be an almighty scrap at the end of the season fighting for 4th.

Playing one man up front when that man is quick, powerful, tall and one of the best strikers in the world is fine.

When that player is unavailable, and all you have is a one-paced hard worker who has never been prolific, or a rubbish young striker, then playing one man up front is rather less effective, so don't fucking do it

That's the fucking point, which any retard can see

I know you're not particuarly fond of me Brendan, so I will just have to hope you stay away from the most obvious quip in the world, but I agree.

Not really. We play with 2 men up front. Gerrard is a 2nd striker, it just so happens that the 'rubbish young striker' has scored more goals (at least from open play)than him in fewer games. 'Any retard' can see that too. Perhaps that's Lucas' fault too?

Gerrard has been injured, isolated, or dropping much deeper than usual to try and influence the game, and in turn isolating the lead striker.

We do look more dangerous when Kuyt and N'gog are paired together up front, IMO.

Last Season, and the ten Seasons before that, we were used to rely on Gerrard banging a few scorchers in from a distance.

Actually, more than a few to be honest.

This Season has been his worst for as long as I remember and he REALLY needs to step up. There've been signs of significant improvement of late, the Citeh game didn't fall in to that category when it comes to the skipper I'm affraid.

So, back to basics it is:
