Agreed, I have been giving Torres the benefit of the doubt up to now, but I am beginning to get a bit irritated with him. It tends to devalue the defence that he doesn't get the service, if he keeps cocking up when he gets the ball.

Watching Chelsea against Wolves and B'burn, I'm really not that impressed to be honest. They seem to have dipped a bit, and were pretty lucky not to go 2-1 down just before they scored the winner.

Well I think it our biggest single area of concern to be honest Andy, as without him playing at his best we are nothing and will continue to struggle. Up until that flick, and don't tell me he meant it to go between the defenders legs, he had been a liability. He gave the ball away continually , some of the carelessness causing us great problems, lost his head in front of goal, and made some very poor decisions. There were one or two glimmers of Nando there yesterday, but really precious little.
I am sure he will come back to form at some point, but what is it that is stopping him? Is his mind eleswhere, is he still not fully fit, is his confidence that low?
Given who he is, what he has done, what he says and hopefully what he will continue to do it is only right to cut him some slack, and try and keep behind him but it's difficult as he is our only real striking option.

I'm sure it's just very low confidence. Nothing is going right for him. But he's not hiding - he's still making runs, still shooting. And we are, at long last, beginning to provide him with a bit of service. He needs to score a few goals and maybe watch a few videos of his previous seasons with us. He needs to remember how fucking good he is. Form is temporary...

On the basis that they fucked us over home and away last season (was it 2-0 on both occasions?), when we arguably a stronger team, and they seem to be stronger this season I would take a point quite happily
