Torres has got to start looking like a player again pretty soon if we are to finish in the top half.
For eighty odd minutes he was a liability today.
Agreed, I have been giving Torres the benefit of the doubt up to now, but I am beginning to get a bit irritated with him. It tends to devalue the defence that he doesn't get the service, if he keeps cocking up when he gets the ball.
We've won 3 games so far Torres has scored the winner in two of them and set up the winner in the other, and he has had shit service. He certainly isnt playing like our Nando of old, but i think there are far more pressing concerns than the ONE player who has won us some games.

Watching Chelsea against Wolves and B'burn, I'm really not that impressed to be honest. They seem to have dipped a bit, and were pretty lucky not to go 2-1 down just before they scored the winner.

I think we have a chance. It all depends on how Roy replaces Cole.

Re torres over the past 180 mins of prem football can you really complain.

Scored one match winner and made another matchwinner.

It's pretty simple. 5 points off forth. 28 games to play. It can be done. Who believes?
I don´t. Not with Roy in charge. Can someone tell me how he wants us to play because I can not se it!

If he hadn't been such a bender with the tactics against Blackpool we'd be joint fifth right now. FFFFFUUUUUUUUU

Well I think it our biggest single area of concern to be honest Andy, as without him playing at his best we are nothing and will continue to struggle. Up until that flick, and don't tell me he meant it to go between the defenders legs, he had been a liability. He gave the ball away continually , some of the carelessness causing us great problems, lost his head in front of goal, and made some very poor decisions. There were one or two glimmers of Nando there yesterday, but really precious little.

I am sure he will come back to form at some point, but what is it that is stopping him? Is his mind eleswhere, is he still not fully fit, is his confidence that low?

Given who he is, what he has done, what he says and hopefully what he will continue to do it is only right to cut him some slack, and try and keep behind him but it's difficult as he is our only real striking option.

regards

Believe what? 4th? Pah!

We're gonna win the whole fucking thing.

I think we've got a decent chance of least taking points with us from the Chelsea game. As Hansern said they really haven't impressed of late and it'll always be down the the midfield battle when we face them. Tight and gritty.

I'd be far more worried if we were up against Arsenal who's in my opinion the best team in the league right now.

A win against Chelsea and this newly found cautios optimism will blossom immensely and could somehow ignite Roys and a lot of the newcomers career at Anfield too.

Maybe even Gerrard and Torres will look and play like they believe in it as well.

A game of footy is often decided by whom's the most focused, motivated and self-confident side. A win against the Chavs and we'd start reaching for the stars.

Perhaps.

I'm sure it's just very low confidence. Nothing is going right for him. But he's not hiding - he's still making runs, still shooting. And we are, at long last, beginning to provide him with a bit of service. He needs to score a few goals and maybe watch a few videos of his previous seasons with us. He needs to remember how fucking good he is. Form is temporary...

Me too. I'm just saying that's all...

Us Liverpool-fans of all people should know how quickly things can change in football. A win against the Chavs and we'd be on the right track with Roy at the helm even.

We'd only be at the start of that track though, and I for one would remain unconvinced of Roy's ability to take us all the way to the end.

I would indeed not be convinced either mate but it's obvious that we'll at least gain some momentum should we manage to pull out a win come Chelsea.

The ideal scenario for everyone involved at the club must be that Roy takes us to at least 4th and we'd then install a new, young, attacking-minded World Class-potential manager for the long haul.

With a warchest that'll make Citeh's Mancini green in the head of envy.

Everyone would. There's not a chance we'll beat them.

On the basis that they fucked us over home and away last season (was it 2-0 on both occasions?), when we arguably a stronger team, and they seem to be stronger this season I would take a point quite happily

Is Kuyt back for this one?
If he is he can play for Joke Hole.

I'm worried Roy will replace Cole with fucking Poulsen and play Meireles on the wing
