Adel Taarabt

Currently on loan at QPR, he's contracted to Spurs.

20 years old, winger/playmaker with pace, vision, technique.

Recent game against Preston:

He has great feet and composure. Suprised he didn't go to Pompey on loan since they seem to swap/share players with Spurs the whole time.

He used to be on the fringes of the Spurs first team if I recall. Lost touch of his career a little while back. Need more than that (admittedly impressive) clip though.

A year later and he's club captain, championship player of the season and more or less carrying his team to the premiership. 15 goals and 20 assists and he's only 21 years old.

Bet ya Redknapp regrets booting him out of Spurs.

Wonder what his price tag is now?

Where would he fit in if we were to sign him ?

He always looks ridiculously skilful, but never before in a meaningful or effective manner.

Guess it was the right move in the end, seeing the likes of Kranjcar cant really get a start and being able to bring in VDV. Perhaps the only down side for Spurs was them being too quick to agree to a permanent deal - could've waited for more clubs to join in the chase.

Apparently, Warnock deserves a lot of credit for putting up with his temperament too. Remember reading from an Independent column how he man-managed him in a different way - when other managers would've punished him etc. in the same situation.

From what I've read, he seems to be the type of player who needs an arm around him and constant support from the manager. I loath Warnock since his Sheff U days but he's done a great job mentoring Taraabt. Giving him the captains armband is a very sly move.

Anyway I reckon we're gonna see big things from this kid in the premiership especially against Spurs.

I bet he'll end up at Man U.

On the wing or behind the striker.

Hes a ballgreedy stepover twat with a bad attitude, exactly the type i'd hate to see at the club.

Warnock apparently fines any player who passes the ball to him while he is in his own area, they are only to pass to him when he is in the opposition area or something silly like that.

Oh and we got Nabil El Zhar...cheers

So you're comparing the best player in the championship who has only missed one game this season (family reasons) and has more or less won his team a promotion to the premier league with Nabil EL fuckin Zahr?

You're just making yourself look like an ignorant hater.

So what are we supposed to sign angels and saints?-
If you had a chance to sign Ronaldo before he joined Man U, you wouldn't because of his off-field antics? Fuck off. (And I'm not saying that Taarabt is anywhere near as good as Ronaldo).

what the fucks your problem, if you're impressed by stepovers by all means go masturbate to youtube videos of him. i'm entitled to my opinion.

The 20-year-old told the Evening Standard that he wished he would have followed Damien Comolli to Arsenal when he was the Gunners European scout rather than when the Frenchman was director of football at Tottenham.

Taarabt: "I was going to go to Arsenal and Comolli was there with [Arsene] Wenger. But he went to Tottenham so I went there. That was a big mistake for me. My friends in England — like Armand Traore and Abou Diaby at Arsenal — told me Tottenham were not the right fit for me. The big mistake was to sign for Tottenham and not go to another club when I first came over."

The former Lens forward added: "Harry Redknapp told me I was a fantastic player with a big talent but he wanted me to go to the Championship, play some games and then come back to play for him. But I don't want to go back to Tottenham."

Let's just hope that Comolli can unearth youngsters of the same potential for us in the future.

ADEL TAARABT will discuss an improved deal at QPR – but may not put pen to paper until the end of the year.

Taarabt, who has two years left on his contract, has been named the Championship’s best player.

He is being monitored by a string of top clubs including MANCHESTER UNITED and REAL MADRID, but the Moroccan is pledging his immediate future to Rangers because he enjoys working with boss Neil Warnock.

Taarabt, 21, currently earns around £17,000 a week but is in line to be rewarded for his brilliant displays since joining.

If they go up then QPR will hand out a tidy promotion bonus, and then discuss a new contract.

Real Madrid and Man U, huh?
Yeah, but we don't want him because of his "morals".

Yes but you called me a whiney little kid and told me to fuck off for disagreeing with your views on taarabt and now your telling me my opinion is stupid, I find that to be pretty rude and childish.

So... championship player of the season, he joins greats such as nolan, ebanks-blake, kevin phillips and koumas - awesome
What off field problems did ronaldo have exactly, prior to him signing for united? Tell you what he didn't have, an unimpressive spell at tottenham and was 3 or 4 years younger, whats your point?

He's doing well in the Championship no doubt about it.

But I will continue to have reservations about this guy until I see him do it amongst the best.

Jeremy Menez is a better player.

My problem is the attitude thing. Ronaldo has a poor attitude. Especially on the pitch but that doesn't make him any less wanted by every club in the world.

We've been signing nice guys like Kuyt for a while now. I have nothing against buying "good boys" as opposed to "bad boys" but in the end what's more important their attitude or their ability?

Suarez is a good example of a player that I despised after the world cup incident. The whole biting thing even made it worse. But as a footballer he was brilliant at Ajax and when I heard that there was a chance of him coming to Liverpool I was fucking overjoyed.

Taarabt is an unbelievable talent and we desperately need wingers. During Benitez time here he would have probably been unsettled and felt like shite but with Dalglish here, a manager that actually spends time with the players, I think Taraabt would become an even better player.

I'm with Modo on this one.

I want as many biting, cheating, diving, card waving cunts we can fit into the squad. No more nice guys.

Yeah, well winners anyway, not just ones that are all that for the sake of it, just the ones that can back it up by actually being a bit good.

Anyway, we've been the recent victims of a lying, sly, twat who pretended to have morals and be the epitome of the model pro. I'd rather know someone was a cunt from the off, at least I'd learn to adjust to them then and won't be surprised by a major act of cuntsmanship.

Bellamy was cunt too, I love him though and wouldn't be unhappy if he was still here.
