I don't know about Taarabt by all accounts he is very headless and has found his level, i was pleased to see one of my first ever students Hogan Ephraim in the clip helping up the QPR striker after he missed a sitter. Working in an inner city school right next to highbury loads of my students were really good footy players but two of them were set, Ryan Smith who played for Arsenal a few times then for Derby i think and Hogan..... considering the utter shit surrounding them its really nice to see a kid i knew when he was 11 make a go of it and succeed.

Best ever teenager player i ever saw was Ryan smiths elder brother Adam Smith. The poor cunt got himself into the wrong crowd and that was it.... fucking waste.... I saw him once collect an underhit pass with a backheel Messi would have been proud of then control the ball with one touch with his other foot then drill it unstoppably past the goaly from about 25 yards out..... all done at full (and considerable) pace on the wing.... up against Gael Clichy.

Fucking waste...

I'm sure there are a few scouse posters on here who have seen similar tragedies of lost talent...

at 0.27 is just annoying. I fucking hate michael jackson leg syndrome

We need someone like this, who is exciting and can rape defences apart aswell as piss off the opposite teams fans

Why don't Tottenham play him?
Two reasons:

1 - They've got better players.
2 - He's not good enough.

Thought as much.

He's got two things that are drawing attention to him from this forum and elsewhere: 1) a stepover and 2) he wears short socks over his long ones like Ronaldo and Nani do.

Ergo, he must be good.

Yeah 15 goals and 20 assist doesn't really factor in.

I bet you'd be more than pissed off if someone raped your defence apart.

Billy Sharp from Doncaster has 15 goals in the Championship this season too.

Except he's a striker and Taarabt is a winger/attacking midfielder.
Does Billy Sharp have 20 assists and has he ever been voted best player in the championship?

I don't know. Do you?

What I do know is that Billy hasn't already failed in the Premier League.

Tbf, he only averaged about 3 games a season for Spurs, in the league, so he hardly failed. He played one game last season and the season before (when he was 18) he made his most appearances. Their squad is arguably more competitive than most aswell..

I'm hardly Pacheco's biggest fan, but like most I was delighted to see him go on loan, just so we know one way or another whether he's any good and so we don't have to read threads about how much of a superstar he is, by people who've barely seen him play. If he comes good and shows promise at Norwich, would it be fair to say he'd failed in the Premiership?

However, Warnock will have to resist a move from Liverpool for his captain Adel Taarabt this summer.

He's not good enough for Liverpool.
harsh, he's 21 and had an outstanding season - he has the potential to be a fantastic player, the only drawbacks being his judgement and his mental attitude (which so far are improving): issues I think Kenny can handle. Anything under 8-10 m would be good value.

You can bet Worncock will try and stiff us on the fee if we do go in for him though. I think Taarabt is a very talented footballer but I wouldn't pay the kind of money they'll be after.

Fair enough, but my Tottenham-supporting pal takes a different view. He always rated Taarabt when he was at Spurs and says he's defo an even better player now. Gonna be interesting, whichever team he ends up with.

My mate the QPR fan reckons he'll get found out it in the prem
in order to step up to the next level I think he will need to improve his decision making, in particular when to beat the man or when to flick and when not to - a bit like ronaldo when he first arrived at Man Utd - if he can do it then he will be great, other he could end up with the same career as Kinkladze.

Having an outstanding season in the Championship doesn't make me get too excited - it's not like yesta-decade when you could find phenomenal players playing at Chester etc.

He's a selfish prick on the ball (there's much rumor of discontent within QPR due to this) and he's extremely arrogant. While I know it works for some players (Ronaldo), I don't really think he'd take too nicely to being an option off the bench (which is what he'll be at Liverpool). Spending 8-10 mill on him is too much, halve it and it's worth the risk.

Sylvain Ebanks Blake scored 25 for Wolves in the Championship 2 years ago when they got promoted to the PL.

Taarabt can play, but it's a massive step up in class from the Championship, and it'll be interesting to see how he goes when he's coming up against the Ashely Cole's of the world and touching the ball thirty times less than he would this season.
