In the spirit of the growing SCM Travel Guide compendium, me & the missus will ne spending a few days in London in early April and are thinking of things to do.
Strangely enough I've never spent much time in London over the years - been to a few concerts and a few short trips over the years, last time I spent more than 24 hrs in London was over a decade ago.
Neither of us are particularly in to touristy things, but we'll probably do a little bit of sightseeing. We aren't hiring a car at this stage, but might for a day trip - Straftord & Stonehenge have been mentioned and I actually like the idea of tracking down one of these mythical English Wineries.
As some of you may have managed to notice - food, beer & wine are particular passions, so any recommendations for great food & beer/wine experiences would be appreciated. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and a visit to Vinopolis have been mentioned.
We'll be staying Kensington, so local stuff would be ideal. Good pubs, etc.
