I’m searching the web for Thiago clips as I really hadn’t watched much of him over the years. He really is amazing. Thought this video analysis was very interesting. Love how he feels no pressure when receiving the ball deep in his half surrounded by opposition players. Absolutely classy.

Its that ability to break through the opposition press thats the key attribute we signed him for. Against the best teams the ability to seamless transition the ball out of defence into midfield puts opponents on the back foot

Interesting linguistic point: strictly speaking his surname should be pronounced "Al-CANT-a-ra" with the emphasis on the second syllable. What's the betting no broadcaster will go anywhere hear that, even if they know or care? 😀
