Stefan Effenberg. Wonderful player, albeit a bit bonkers.
There's quite a few really good players I liked from that time that probably aren't remembered as much as they should be. Mehmet Scholl, Georgie Hagi, Zvonomir Boban to name but three. Oh and that Turk who scored a milli goals whose name escapes me. He was a machine.
Hakan Sukur? All three of those are great shouts. Mario Basler too.
Of course. He looked like he should be selling fruit in a market but scored mad goals.

Hugo rodallega i just don't know why whenever i see him he seems to score .well i admit i rarely watch wigan play but when i happen to watch he scores .maybe he realizes his biggest fan is watching he pulls his socks up.
He does seem very good doesn't he? I've been hoping we would go after him as he would be cover for Torres and can put in a shift on the left or right if needed too. He's also young and has room to improve under Torres' guidance. He doesn't seem to have any glaring weaknesses.

Was it Deisler who went off his rocker?
Yeah I think so. What happened to him? He was billed as Germany's next big hope. I know he suffered from depression.

*Edit*

Just wiki'd him. He retired in 2007 after a spate of injuries and mental problems aged 27.

Conceicao...
Flavio or Sergio?

Valeron and De La Pena were class. Valeron's Deportivo team with Diego Tristan up front was brilliant. It's a shame that both players fell from grace massively.

Giuseppe Signori, Ruel Fox, Brian Laudrup, Matthew LeTissier (Why didn't we buy him)

Le Tissier would never have left Southampton unless a nuclear bomb were dropped on the city, and probably not even then.

Does that guy ever look back at his career and regret that he didn't win anything.

LeTiSs was allegedly close to joing Man Utd and Liverpool (and probably a few others) on more than one occasion, but never went through with it
