Lots of tough games left on both sides.
Everton, Spurs and Chelsea look the toughest for us, but Watford and Wolves are good sides too.

City have away games vs Palace, United and Burnely with a home vs Spurs sandwiched in the middle all within 10 days in April which is horrible by any standards.

I have to try and enjoy this. But its not going to be easy.

City drop points against weak sides so there is easy games for either.

We really could do with them having a wobble to give us a shot in the arm.

Plenty of tough games for both but I feel City could easily get 5 straight wins in the next 5. If they struggle, they then hit the tougher games on the back foot which would be ideal - but we absolutely need to be in touch or on a par by the time this comes around.

The next 2 games are crucial against an in-form watford and then the derby. If we are still a point ahead after those games, I think we could win it, though the pressure could get to the players.

I expect City to drop 7 points. That means the will finish with 91 points. We wont beat them on goal difference so we have to match or better their 26 out of the last 33 points available. Based on our form for tye first half of the season thats very doable, based on our form since new years we wont get 20 points.

The title is still winnable but lets not kid ourselves we need to right the ship very quickly or its going to slip away from us in a matter of weeks. I think City will be top after we play Everton, our chance to wrestle it back will be when they play their 2 CL quarter finals plus Palace Spurs and Utd in the space of 2 weeks. If they are going to break thats when it will happen.

I don't care about City's fixtures.

I'm more concerned by our own form. We need it back quickly.

The next 2 games are crucial. We win them and we have a good chance of building momentum with games against Fulham away and Burnley at home, ahead of the next tough fixture which is Spurs. Win all 5, and we'll have Gomez and Ox back... THEN i will begin to believe.

Oh and I don't care what points we have dropped before, or yesterday.. now is the time to look forward.. I am delighted we are in this position, for me to say that beating:

Watford, Everton, Burnley, Fulham... and then Spurs..

Would make us favourites for the title

At the start of the season, I didn't even think we'd be in the race.

When it comes to who has the tougher run-in.. it's all about timing...

For example,

Playing Newcastle away is an easy game if they're mathematically safe by then.

If they need a point to survive and Rafa parks the bus, it will be one of the toughest games left in our run-in.

Will United still be competing for top 4, or will it be secured by the time City roll through OT? This is why it's important Arsenal keep on winning.

Ideally Chelsea need to win at Anfield when they come, because if they don't, they'll simply do what they did years ago and park the bus, and waste inordinate amounts of time. And their whole season would be a success if they get to kill our title hopes again.

Can't really see anything but 33 points for Liverpool there

People talking about our pre-new year form are seriously forgetting how shite we were from August till December. We ground out results playing shite.
The only difference is now the results arent coming.

I dont know yet what this season will be remembered for, but it WONT be for scintilating football.
Weve been mostly horrible all year.

Good point(s) there. We would have had something to show in both the Bayern and the United match during that spell. We need to start finding the net again soon.

It might be remembered for some insanely solid defensive performances with 15 conceded goals in 27 games so far.
If we win the title, it might be our defense that has been the basis for it all.

Fannies..

We will win our next 4 games easily...

2 at home, (we have only drawn twice at home, won the rest). Out of the away games one we could play our reserves and win.. The other is an out of sorts Everton

Watford, don't travel well (usually - I don't count Leicester as they clearly downed tools) and neither do Burnley

Fulham is a given.. and as for the blue shite.. play Shaqiri, fabs, Robertson and keep pinging balls into the box, that will be a piece of pish..

We have some dead cert wins in the mix..

Fulham. Huddersfield, etc..

Tricky games..

Spurs, Chelsea and Wolves, but they are all at home. Get 5 points from 9 out of them and we are home and dry..

93 points should do it.

Let put it this way..
If we don't get 12 points minimum from our next 4 games, we don't deserve to win the title..

Our attack is as blunt as a butter knife though
Media Hype..

We have just played two of the toughest teams in Europe at the moment..

Didn't even look like conceding...

Yet we handed Bournemouth their arse on a plate prior..

We will be fine...

Think positive thoughts..

Maybe it is the opposition, but the lack of creative edge is worrying me.

Both those teams played with 8 men in defence. Their defenders are also a higher standard than the likes of the bottom 6. So we can score hat full against the shite.

Beat the bottom 6 and Everton and there is 21 points of the possible 27 we need.

how shit are everton this year, compared to their usual levels?

They're at their usual level, hovering below the Top 6 in that huge tranche of teams who have between 30 and 40 points, with the usual massive gap between 6th and 7th currently standing at 10 points (chelsea have 50 in 6th place, Watford and Wolves 40 in 7th and 8th)

It may be a little below normal level actually, because they're a further 7 points off Watford. They can't defend set-pieces at all, and also struggle to score many. So they're in a bad spot, and the natives are - again - very restless.

I guess that means there will be an added amount of thuggery on the pitch to try and compensate.
If we score early, it could get feisty I reckon.

If that happens It’ll be the only time they’ve given a shit in ages. They’re garbage at the moment. Origi broke them.

Well, maybe, but the manager isn't really that type, and they also don't have many "Dogs Of War" players.
