The race

Ya it’s done now barring a complete and utter collapse which doesn’t seem remotely likely.

Just a matter of when now not if.

What a fucking time to be alive!

Reserve a seat for Klopp on the bus!

Hi all

I may have missed any news on it, but I thought after the Everton game Slot was due to miss afew games after his red card ?

In retrospect, our last 3 away games were super tough and we have showed character and strength in all of them. In context, we stayed in the game and fair play to the players and Slot, overall things we can do better but also loads of quality under pressure when it mattered. Szbo needs praise, there a lot still to like about the way he runs around about.

Dom resurgence has been incredible!
I still think he's a bit slow to react sometimes - he didn't need to take a touch today for what should have been his second - just hit it first time, it was obvious both the keeper and defender were going to be on him. Ditto the out pass to Mo. that he overhit (86th min)? It wasn't a difficult pass and he hit it too hard so it went out of play instead of setting Mo. away.

His game is like that - 100% application, Duracell bunny-level energy ... but there's always something he could have, should have, done better.

Wednesdays games.

Forest v Arsenal - feel like Forest will have a point to prove but Arsenal will be deflated and dejected.

Us home V toon who played well today for their thumping win.

Would love to be 14 clear with only 10 games to go & a mini run of non prem league games and a cup final.

Yeah I think if Arsenal lose against Forest and we beat Newcastle it's over.
14 point is just too much despite them having a game in hand.

I honestly couldn’t care less about the Champs league. Focus on the league and nothing else. No fatigue or injuries please. Nice easy March and lots of rest.

That song pops into my head every time I see the thread title.

Hopefully it happens to you too

Time to update this again (as a total windup) :

Arsenal's recent record is : W6 D3 L1
Ours : W6 D4 L0
No point giving the Forest or City records any more.

Arsenal have a game in hand and remaining matches are H6 A6. We have 11 matches but with 7 at Anfield and just 4 (A) and even those are winnable : Fulham, Leicester, Chelsea & Brighton.

If we say win 6 games, draw 2 and somehow lose 3 then we'll have 81 points. To catch up with us Arsenal would require 28 points from 12 games or 2.33 points per game (having achieved 53 points from 26 games to date, or 2.0 points per game) to send it to GD. A record of W9 D1 L2 over their last 12 games.

If we go W7 D3 L2 (inc. losing at home to Arsenal) we'd have 85 points and then they'd need W10 D2 L0

Latest Odds:
Liverpool : the best you can get is 1/12 the worst 1/20 !
Arsenal between 6/1 and 12/1
City 400/1

OPTA (from the supercomputer’s 10,000 simulations)
Liverpool 95.8% (over a 10% gain after the City and West Ham results)
Arsenal 4.2%

We just had to get through this run in a similar position to the one we entered it. If we did that it was always going to be basically over, especially with their injuries. We've done that now. We wobbled a little bit but ultimately we've passed the test, thank god. Would take a miracle for them to turn it around from here.

Now the dust has settled we still need to be careful.

Arsenal beat Forest and we lose at home to Newcastle and they’ll have a glimmer again.

Need to win!
