Mirror reporting we want to bring him in January.. If true I guess he doesn't fancy Benteke then..

Exciting if true, though I can't see it myself.. Lazy journalismn no doubt..

I can imagine we will get linked with many Dortmund players over the next few months..

Very lazy indeed. Prefer if he went for hummels or subotic, and throw in Reus too

I called him the Polish Ian Rush because like Rushie in his pomp, levandovski scores goals for fun..

Plus can I Fuck spell his name..

All journalistic bollocks. At least 60M too, I'd guess the Scum would be after him if he was available (which he isn't).

Switching this season's possible CL winners just to be with Klopp ? As if.

The rumour about Benteke is that Klopp had him looked at while he was at Dortmund but crossed him off his list pretty quickly when he decided the player wasn't mobile or industrious enough for his style of play. I guess now Benteke has until January to convince Klopp he can fit into that style.

I'd rather we go for the guy were linked with this morning that lewedinski guy forgot how to spell his name??
He's meant to be good too.

Will he be cast aside like Carroll was with Rodgers.. ??

Next few months will be interesting most certainly in terms of how Benteke fits into Klopps plans.. I do believe he will be given that chance to prove his worth though.. I just don't think he will be first choice..

Id hazard a guess the likes of Firmino, Ings, Sturridge and even Origi would probably be more suited to his style of play..

The Dortmund fans (on RC) say it was because he ended up beyond their budget (23M is their record signing). Who knows the truth - only Klopp's coaching team I'd venture.

Carroll had proven himself to be shite and injury prone by the time Rodgers arrived, Benteke has looked pretty decent so far. I don't think there's any chance of immediately discarding of anyone, especially not Benteke. Like you say'll he'll be given a chance.

There are going to be surprises imo, even for Klopp. We all expect certain players to do well and some to do badly but it'll be interesting to see who these surprise success stories will be.

Its BS he has to analyse the current squad see where the weakness lies unders hus system and then he will meet with TC. All liks to potential transfers are baseless conjecture. This thread should be merged with Jan transfers

Lazy would be getting this far in a thread without a mention of his fucking name.

I highly doubt that any of these current links have any significant substance to them. He has only just arrived and it's ages until the window opens. I'd have concerns if he/we are already in discussions with other clubs to revamp the squad without seeing 60% of them train yet...it would be terrible for morale.

I wouldn't blame him for having a wishlist..but now is the time to try and focus on what we already have.

Personally...I'd like to see journalists fined for everything they get wrong and clearly just make up.

If we're talking about industry then Sturridge is a bad fit too, infact the only attackers who fit in that sense are Ings and Firmino.

Exactly, people have neglected this point. I still have my doubts about Sturridge as the lone striker, too. Maybe he'll be asked to play from a slightly deeper position, a bit how Reus was used at Dortmund.

To me Ings looks the most natural 'Klopp' striker in the squad.

Klopp had Lucas Barrios in Dortmund who was never a particular hard worker, but a great instinctive finisher. They won their first title with him if I'm not mistaken. So I think Sturridge will be fine as long as he is scoring goals and actually same goes for Benteke if he plays up front. But it will be hard to accommodate them both in the same side.

Yeah the Dortmund fans have said the same thing - most important thing for Klopp is that the sole striker knows where the back of the net is. And we have no-one better than Sturridge at finding it. Allied to the fact that Klopp needs pace for his system to work and Sturridge looks nailed on as a starter.
We know Klopp likes Benteke too so maybe Spurs will see the solution of that particular conundrum.
