He'll do the right thing. He has cancelled on trips over before at the last minute so something may have come up at home.

This is a real cunt move. He should at least man up and offer an apology and reimburse ILD for the tix etc.
I hope ILD is able to patch-up the relationship with his trust-able friends, who have been great in spite of not knowing Paddy at all.
If it's any consolation, I'm going to remember this for the 6cm end of year awards, and nominate ILD for man of the year.
But i bet, he'd rather just have the money!
If you all want to set-up a pool to cover for ILD's loss - i'm in. If we get 20 people volunteering it's 4 pounds a head and it's not really much. Plus, i'm(and i'm sure there are others) counting on you folks to help get a ticket when the time comes.
