If you collect the Panini stickers, and you have a full album apart from Wesley Sneijder but have 500 swaps, go for it.

We need the 500 swaps.

I doubt he'd be on 150k a week if he came here something like 100-120k which is still ridiculous but well worth it. He's not as good as them 2 when they were at the top of their game but I think he's really close to them.

You do realise that I picked those two on purpose? Neither of them have done anything since before they were 28.

Lets buy M'Vila. Classy defensive midfielder with gonads like cannonballs. Make it fucking happen.

Oh hes got years ahead of him, but not good ones.
I disagree he would be the key to us getting back amongst the top 4 in my opinion, like Steven Gerrard said last week a youth only policy could be the detriment of the club and I agree to an extent, Sneijder is a world cup finalist, a champions league winner and a serie A winner and probably won more he brings experience to our squad and a winning mentality. I'll tell you something else you and probably others may disagree with I'd take Frank Lampard in a heartbeat.

Most of the time I have no idea who is talking about who is being targeted by LFC or who in this thread.... 😕

Liverpool have reportedly turned their attention to Sevilla centre back Federico Fazio after missing out on a deal for Vegard Forren.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be in the hunt for a new defender this month, and long-term target Fazio has emerged as a cheap option.
The decision to turn to Fazio comes after Liverpool missed out on Molde defender Forren, who has opted to join Southampton instead, while the Reds have also been frustrated in their attempts to lure top target Modibo Diakite from Lazio.
That has apparently led to Rodgers considering Argentine enforcer Fazio, who has been put up for sale by Sevilla, due to their crippling financial problems.
It is understood that German clubs Hamburg and Hoffenhiem have both expressed an interest in the player, but he favours a switch to England, and Liverpool in particular.
According to AS, Fazio could cost as little as £3million, and given his ability to play either as a central defender or holding midfielder, he could add versatile cover to Rodgers’ defence.

It's been discussed before, but a few people (including myself) believe that the money spent on Allen should have been used elsewhere. If he was gambling on getting money from selling Carroll/Henderson/Downing then that money should have been used to buy Allen if/when it arrived.

We need a manager who's good in the transfer market. Benitez was "ok". Roy wasn't. Kenny wasn't. Is Rodgers? He has never managed a big club as Liverpool and we can't continue with midtable signings or just signing prospects.

Sign some midfielders Bren.
He's listening LH!

Strootman Move Preferred Over Potential Eriksson Bid?

A growing number of reports are coming in that the Reds are looking to sign the Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman from PSV Eindhoven in the summer.
Strootman, a traditional number 8, has impressed both in his domestic league and in the Dutch national team, with former coach Bert Van Marwijk praising the midfielder for his vision.
Strootman mainly plays centrally but can play anywhere in the midfield if needed as either a defensive midfielder or a deep lying playmaker. At only 22 Strootman has been capped 15 times for the Netherlands where he’s worked effectively with Rafael van der Vaart and is firmly established in the national side.
This news does come as a surprise as Strootman has been a long-term target for Manchester United, but now reports by credible journalists in the Sunday Times are certain that whilst United do still like the player, the Liverpool interest is much stronger.

Sissoko's out of contract in the summer, so if he's up for 3 million, we should be all over it.

Still a bit rough, but could be a top class player.

I think we should sign him (Stroot-Man). Not only do I do a voice in my mind like the Swedish Chef every time I say his name but I googled his pic and he looked cool and hard. Job done.

Which player does Strootman most resemble, playing style wise? Will he find a place in our team?

A one-legged, blind man in his 80's could get into our central midfield! Strootman, apparently, is a high-energy box-to-box midfielder, a bit like Henderson. Oh!
