Everton are looking to bolster their striking options for the new season with a move for highly rated Icelandic striker Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Merseysider’s have opened talks with Sigurdarson’s club Lillestrom over a £3 million deal.

The 21 year old has been linked with moves to Wolves, Reading and Anderlecht following a run of 11 goals in 11 games this season in the Norwegian league however David Moyes has jumped to the front of the queue in the race for the player.

Moyes has sent his scouts to Norway to run the rule over the once-capped International and the Scot will be hoping that he add the player to his ranks as he looks for back up for Croatian star Nikica Jelavic.

Sigurdarson comes from a footballing family with his three half-brothers, Bjarni Guðjónsson, Þórður Guðjónsson, and Joey Guðjónsson, all current and former Icelandic internationals.

I bought him on fifa before he was cool.

3 seasons of consistent 20+ goals a season in la liga. 2 of those seasons he was out for half with ligament damage.

I don't want to have to sell him.

Roma’s search for a new Coach continues, as Zdenek Zeman and Andre Villas Boas are joined by Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini, confirmed his agent.

“Roma contacted us to understand the situation,” agent Jesus Martinez told Onda Cera Malaga.

“I must remind everyone that Pellegrini has a contract and wants to respect it. There is nothing more to add right now.”

The club needs to find a tactician after Luis Enrique declared he would not stay longer than one year at the Olimpico.

Zeman could make a return to Rome after helping Pescara to promotion from Serie B, while AVB is looking for work since he was fired by Chelsea.

Another alternative from La Liga is Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Vincenzo Montella was the favourite choice, but Catania have refused to release him from his contract.

Wouldn't be surprised as Chelsea have bags of money and very promising compatriots in Lukaku, De Bruyne and Courtois.

Reds in talks with Sochaux winger
May 27, 2012
Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has revealed that Liverpool are amongst a number of high-profile clubs negotiating.

Boudebouz, who was part of Algeria's 3-0 win over Niger on Saturday, has attracted attention from a number of French clubs following his performances on the wing in Ligue 1 and now the Premier League club has joined the queue.

Boudebouz, 22, said: "Certainly, my agent is in talks with some clubs, particularly in France, but there is still nothing concrete.

"There is also Liverpool, who have a kit man, who has initiated discussions with my agent, but at the risk of repeating myself, everything is in the discussion stage, no more."

Sochaux narrowly avoided relegation this season, finishing 40 points adrift of champions Montpellier.

The "Moose" (Talkshite, the guy who keeps saying we're still after Klopp) with his latest effort...

My Liverpool source has also confirmed the Reds are genuinely interested in signing Edinson Cavani from Napoli
