We are going to buy average players. That's a given. We cannot offer Champions league football, or a realistic title challenge. Ergo we shall only get the players in that bracket. I'm far more concerned with how many of the half-decent ones we've got left fucking off. And as for being held to ransom over the wage demands of Siggurdsson.... if we are not a clear favourite over fucking Spurs in your young brain then jog on.

i like rodgers but i cant help think his idea of good transfers coming from swansea is going to be swansea level players, hodgson generally suffered from the same low expectation, that combined with our league position doesnt make positive feelings swell up in my love dumplings
I don't think it's fair on Rodgers to assume that he's an utter moron. Everything we've seen thus far would suggest otherwise.

LIVERPOOL is reportedly about to close a £6.4 million deal on giant attacker Lacina Traore.
The huge six foot, eight inches tall striker, who is originally from the Ivory Coast, currently plays in the Russian Premier League for Kuban Krasnodar.
New Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is apparently on the verge of securing Traore, who will be his first summer signing since taking over at Anfield.
Rodgers is hoping that the move will dramatically alter what he believes is the Merseyside club’s weakest current position.
The club have already lost some vital players and there are constant reports linking Craig Bellamy with a return to Wales to play for his hometown Cardiff City.
The team has been left limited with just Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez as striking options after allowing forward Dirk Kuyt to leave on a free this summer.
But the club could be given some respite with Traore stepping onto the scene, as the impressive goalscorer has already racked up 18 goals in his first season, ending the campaign as the third highest scorer in the division.
Actually a pretty intriguing player. He's reed thin like Crouch, but is actually pretty strong, and has decent pace. But the remarkable thing about him really is his skill on the ball - he reminds me a lot of Kanu. Having said that, he looks very awkward plays very bone-headedly at times. I'm also not sure how he'd fit in the scheme of our attack.
