Further to our previous statement of the 29th May, Leeds United can confirm they have granted an exclusivity period to enable a potential investor to carry out the appropriate due diligence.
It is anticipated this will be a fairly straightforward process.
A confidentiality clause prevents the club from making any further comment. However, our discussions with them have left us very comfortable that they have the financial resources to support the club and that they will have no issues in satisfying the requirements of the Football League's Owners and Directors Test, unlike many of the previous approaches we have had to endure.
We will not be making any further announcements in the near future.
Manchester City is scouring the transfer market in its bid to build a team capable of winning the Champions League. According to the English press, Falcao is the latest player to catch the eye of the club's owners, who – reports claim – would be willing to offer Atlético de Madrid up to €50 million for its star striker.
The City hierarchy is looking to free up space and funds for new arrivals by offloading some of its current strikers over the next few weeks. Up to four forwards currently on the club's books – Tevez, Dzeko, Adebayor and Santa Cruz – could be departing the Etihad Stadium in the near future.
Once this clean-out is over, the English club will launch an assault on the transfer market with several bumper signings. Its top target is Falcao, who is coming off the back of two excellent campaigns with Porto and Atlético respectively.
Ecclestone's a decent young player whose attitude has improved hugely in the past couple of years. I don't see the point in letting him go when he was just getting a chance on the bench last season and had received so much time and effort from the coaching staff. There are a few who could be released in this way, but I still think it's a pity it's him.
REAL links.
Next time Larry don't be late ok, that bandwagon left days ago!The only thing confirmed on this thread is that KHL has finally crashed through the gates of delirium.
Didn't Roy try to buy him?Now here's a player we shouldn't buy.
Toon turn to Toivonen as Sweden striker continues to angle for move from PSV
PUBLISHED: 23:13 GMT, 26 June 2012 | UPDATED: 23:13 GMT, 26 June 2012Newcastle are the latest Premier League club to reveal an interest in PSV Eindhoven striker Ola Toivonen.
Tottenham, Liverpool and rivals Sunderland have all been keeping tabs on the Sweden international, who scored 18 goals in 33 league games last season.
Come to Toon: Sweden striker Ola Toivonen is interesting Newcastle, and others
Toivonen has also attracted interest in Italy from Fiorentina and Genoa who had hoped to lure him away from Holland for £7million.
The 25-year-old was part of Sweden's Euro 2012 campaign, making two appearances.
That would be amazing, i've not watched much Italian footy recently though, is he still boss?Pato linked after he said this:
"At the moment I have a real taste for playing in the UK. I love English football. I have friends who play for Liverpool."
Do you think he's good enough for a premier league loan Macca?
Nothing but agent talk. Sounds very similar to Stuart Downing when he was at Villa. Forget it, he is already 28 and off the back of a poor season. The Juan Manuel Vargas rumours have started ...... again.
This lad is strong, will have no problems adapting to English football. What I really like about him is his set pieces, and his ability to hit the byline and put in one hell of a cross. This could be a very good signing for, he'll be of great benefit to Carroll.
i fucking hate lescott
Rather than actually reporting this "news", the Echo have simply lifted it from elsewhere and included it in the silly season rumour mill. The Echo are reporting our interest in Lescott and Adebayor as Citeh are bidding for Agger.
It's the annual merry-go-round of shit fists. I can really see John Merrick wanting to play for us.
Didn't Roy try to buy him?
apparently not, article dated 2010:I thought that was Kenny? During the summer last year.

Liverpool keen on Ola Toivonen, say PSV Eindhoven
By Mandeep Sanghera
Toivanen has made an impressive start to the season
PSV Eindhoven say Liverpool have been in touch over the possibility of signing their striker Ola Toivonen.
Sweden international Toivonen, 24, has scored five goals in three games for PSV so far this season.
"Liverpool have been in contact with us and they know what we think," said a PSV spokesman. "But there has been nothing in the last two or three days."
The Reds, who have sold keeper Diego Cavalieri to Cesena, are also believed to want PSV left-back Carlos Salcido.
Salcido, 30, is an experienced Mexico international who played for his country at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Is Toivonen the right signing for Liverpool?
"We don't know Liverpool's intentions about Carlos Salcido. He is a new name on the page," added the PSV spokesman.
However, the interest in Toivonen, who played for Orgryte and Malmo in Sweden before switching to PSV, is of a more concrete nature as Reds boss Roy Hodgson attempts to bolster his attacking options.
The Swede has been in impressive form in helping PSV make a 100% start to the current campaign with three games played.
He also scored for his country in a recent 3-0 win over Scotland and the stumbling block over any move to Anfield appears to be the transfer fee.
Liverpool are thought to unwilling to pay more than £10m for Toivonen, but that fee apparently does not meet PSV's valuation.
