Skrtel wants out.
I was trying to make Gary feel better, now you've gone and spoilt it.
I think Liverpool would not be that averse to moving him out.
I was reading a piece from a couple of weeks ago saying they are putting a £20m price tag on his head to deter City and other big European clubs, they know full well £20m is not going to deter fucking City. If they were going to deter anyone they would say he is not for sale and if he was it was £40m.
As I say would be sorry to see him go after a great season but its one season he could be equally shit next season, and if he wants to go fuck him.

regards

On 18 August 2010, Škrtel signed a two-year contract extension with Liverpool, committing his future to Liverpool until 2014.

Oh so you mean that I just imagined, Marin and Hazard signing for Chelsea and Man U signing Powell and Kagawa?
I think there's some truth to what the papers are reporting. Well, it's more plausible than Benzema signing.

You know I didn't mean that. There's no need to be so obtuse.

The simple point is that slagging the club off or making depressing posts based on journalistic links, which 95% of the time prove to be completely fabricated, is both shit and pointless.

Skrtel leaving would be a big blow, IMO.

The defense, and in particular, Martn Skrtel, were one of the few positives we could hold onto last season. I understand his desire to win medals and play Champions League football, his talent deserves that, but it will certainly damage the club. Rodgers has enough to do already without this adding to his workload. I only hope that Rodgers can talk him around and Skrtel will regain his focus and put in another stellar season.

Nobody has left yet yer fairies.
This time last year everyone was ripping into Reina for 'wanting out'
Lets wait and see if he actually does 'want out' or actually does leave ay?

You obviously haven't become accustomed to Modo's posts yet. Flaps aplenty.

Yep, this was all done a few weeks ago, and then he came out and rubbished it, and then the press tried it on again.

Yep, our centre of defence would look really vulnerable without Skrtel - Carra's done, Coates looks a good prospect but still has it all to prove and Agger's class but we all know about his injury problems.

at 27 he's in his prime as well. Furthermore he's seldom injured(apart from one lengthly lay off when he did his knee about 3 yrs ago).

Sure we can get £15m or possibly more for him but he'll be a difficult man to replace should he go.

The press aren't saying it though Mark - it's insiders, for what it's worth.

I'd be disappointed if Skrtel left but it's understandable. He's had the best season of his life and now he wants a) pay day and b) CL footy. Ok, I guess IF true, another reason why Agger always deserved more love.

Well unless he signs a new contract then we need to sell him now after he had such a great season. Bought him cheap and sell him for high profit, moneyball. Defenders like him are easier to replace than defenders like agger.

I didn't realise he was 27 either, oh well. As said, he's had the season of his life so he might be looking for a shot at the big trophies, if he goes I'll be gutted, because I feel like we've got a solid base to build on, we'd have to start again and we all know how difficult it is creating a centre back pairing that works.

As for the last bit, Agger deserved more love based on an 'if'? They're both great players who've always been all heart for the club. If Skrtel goes we'll be left with one good, injury-blighted centre half.

I dunno -- The way Agger speaks (remember Ross's thread?) is just what you expect from someone who gets the club. Were it not for his injuries, he'd be one of the best in the world imo.

FYI - I think Coates is already a good'ish centre half. I hope he makes the next step this year -

We signed fat, square and useless last summer.
Now we're linked to more mediocrity of course I'm pissed off.
Especially after seeing our "rivals" (let's be real) signing highly rated players.

Our rivals. You mean, the European Champions? That's the only team that's done anything so far, and most of that is rumour. No one else has started, it's all papertalk, it's mid June, no one is even back in training yet. There's two and a half months of a transfer window left, and as per you're going overboard. And fwiw, we've not just been linked with dross.

United have only signed a lower league player! Call the cops!

United signed Kagawa, some Mexican and Powell.
