I would hate to lose Skrtle after the season he has had, most improved player by a mile, but the reality is , it's one good season. Before this year he had the capability of a major fuck up at least once a game.
Does one swallow make a summer? As long as we pulled Citys kecks a long way down it might not be the end of the world. is this Caulker any good?
Martin could pay for our rebuild, as I say I would rather keep the status-quo as far as the centre backs go , but worth a thought.

When I first heard about the Skrtel rumours I think it actually pissed me off more than the Torres thing. The realist in me always felt Torres would break our hearts one day but Skrtel? Chastised for playing at an average level albeit after a nasty injury, only to play himself back into the team and back into our hearts. He was banging on about how proud he was of that earlier in the season and now he wants out? That's a proper bum fuck right there.
I hope we rape city on the transfer fee. I think Coates has a big future and I hope we give him the nod next season instead of spending half if not all of the latest turncoat's transfer fee.

So much potential in the Skrtel, Agger partnership. The main plus point from last season imo.
Need to make sure we get a big fee for him.
If its city then we should hold out for 20m minimum.
If it wasn't for aggers injury record we'd be losing both of them, no point in denying it, on last seasons form that pairing could have played for city, utd, Chelsea or any other top European side.
There's only so long quality players will stay whilst we rebuild time & again unless they're attached to the club in some way, & precious few are.

I'd also make the assumption Coates will be comfortable playing Rodgers favoured style of centre back football as its favoured in south America, their centre backs rarely hoof it & often play a high line.
