Smarter by not paying inflated fees and cuter by getting in loan deals where clubs aren't quite ready to sell e.g. Tello and Affelay at Barcelona

Arsenal set to sign Giroud for £12m.

£24m for Podolski and Giroud, then holding onto van Persie, and Wilshere back from injury, Arsenal could be right up there next season if they strengthen the other positions that continually haunt them.

My guess is they're losing RvP ... Hence signing two strikers ...
 
They seem to be preparing for the worst and hoping for the best, which is sensible. They've signed two players I rate for modest fees too. Only time will tell as to whether they'll be as effective as Van Persie is for them now.
 
They've signed two left footed strikers, one of them has to play centrally. Add Gazidizisidface comments to it and it looks like he's off imho
 
After Affellay's performance tonight I fully expect us to sign him for £20 million on a five year deal. He's utter shite.

I suspect the majority on here wouldn't want to sell Big Andy but for 20m i'd be pretty tempted . I just don't see him ever being consistent enough .
 
Liverpool are in talks with Juventus over the signing of Serb forward Milos Krasic.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has been in Italy this week, in a bid to secure a loan deal for the 27-year-old wideman.
But he has been told the Serie A champions want to sell Krasic – and Liverpool are interested in a player who could be available for only £6million.

Juve want to raise cash to help pay for a top-class striker, with Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez top of their shopping list.
Krasic, who was a target for Tottenham in January, has dropped out of coach Antonio Conte’s plans and played only seven Serie A games last season.
Allardyce is also interested in signing Eljero Elia on loan from Juve, but faces competition for the Dutch winger from Schalke, Salzburg, Benfica and Feyenoord.
The eager Hammers manager also met Inter Milan to discuss borrowing another Dutch attacker, Luc Castaignos.
 
Is pastore similar in sytle to lavezzi ? I thought they were meant to be signing him also .
 
I keep hearing the Berba rumours surfacing.
What formation could we play in midfield to accommodate both Carroll and Berbatov, with Suarez buzzing around the periphery in a sort of free role, getting to the goal line on either side like he does and making a big fucking nuisance of himself, like he does.
I think Berba would be the ideal Mr Fox, lazy as fuck but knows were the goal is, I think that would be immense/ Although I have a feeling I am about to be told why it isn't

13m on Tello and Krasic could be the sort of 'sensible' signings we've not been making for years . Well at least i'd feel alot more confident in those deals at that price then 36m on the crap brothers , henderson and downing .

I'd love Berbatov. I think he isn't just a great striker, but is clever enough to play a number 10 role. Yes please.
 
is berbatov on a free ? if not then i'm not sure why it's even being discussed cause that old fucker would rather die then sell us a player , even that Bebe fuckwit
 
His agent is saying that he wants out of the Prem, but he would say that he is touting him around Malaga and PSG, but Berbatov is settled in the NW and is keen to prove himself once more in the premiership..............and I just made that up © gene hughes

I'd advocate trying a 4-2-3-1-7 formation, with Carroll in a sitting role on the bench.
 
Berbatov on a free would be alright as an option, but that's about it.

Ferguson left him out of every big game ever cos he had zero influence when it came to the crunch. Alright sticking 4 past some crowd of dicks from fucking Swindon or something, but when the heat was on - he went missing.

I want big game players. The memory of Stewart wanking Downing pure shitting himself at Old Trafford last year and actively not wanting the ball will stick with me for years. Learn the lesson from that shitehawk.
