Liverpool are in talks with Juventus over the signing of Serb forward Milos Krasic.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has been in Italy this week, in a bid to secure a loan deal for the 27-year-old wideman.

But he has been told the Serie A champions want to sell Krasic – and Liverpool are interested in a player who could be available for only £6million.

Juve want to raise cash to help pay for a top-class striker, with Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez top of their shopping list.

Krasic, who was a target for Tottenham in January, has dropped out of coach Antonio Conte’s plans and played only seven Serie A games last season.

Allardyce is also interested in signing Eljero Elia on loan from Juve, but faces competition for the Dutch winger from Schalke, Salzburg, Benfica and Feyenoord.

The eager Hammers manager also met Inter Milan to discuss borrowing another Dutch attacker, Luc Castaignos.

I like Krasic a lot. Not keen at all on Berbatov or Kalou at all....in fact DONT want. Tello has been good when ive seen him, but then i'd look fucking good in that Barca team.
So yeah, im not advocating it or owt, but it would give us some much needed creativity for a very VERY low cost. As I said though it would still leave us well short of top talent.

Krasic is 28, and has been shit for the only big club he's ever played for. He's also generally been fucking shit everytime I've seen him play.

Berbatov can be brilliant, but he's 31, an ex-Manc, lazy, smug, and doesn't really fit in as a strike partner to either Carroll or Suarez.

Kalou isn't shit, but he isn't great either. I don't see him fitting particularly well in a possession based philosophy either.

Plus all of them would have the expectation of massive wages. It's an absolute given. We'd clog up our wage bill, and in 2 years time, would be part of the deadwood we're desperately trying to find buyers for.

In no way, shape or form would they be good signings. I'd honestly fucking cry.

Yeah agreed, they're good players but I'd rather see us take a punt on someone exciting and fresh. We know what we're getting with Kalou and Berba, seasoned Premiership players who will boost the squad but not the XI to the standard we need on a consistent basis. And they'd be on big wages too. It doesn't add up to our so called moneyball stuff.

He missed countless chances against Chelsea.
I wonder why Barca want rid of him.

I don't see it, not with the wages they'd be on, but if it's with a view to creating depth in the squad and we are still going to be buying quality first teamers, then I'd take them for their experience.

TBF mate thats whats stopping me from spitting my dummy. The only one i've heard that i think their is any truth in it, is the lad who played at Swansea last season on loan (from what i've heard/read he'd be a good signing).

I'd take that kind of approach, promising youth mixed with experience. I just want to see a top quality attacking signing.

I liked the look of Tello's YT video's. He looks full of pace and promise and, although it's based on little more than nothing, I'd be excited by his signing.
