he's 26 ... basically healthy last year ... he's got the tools ... and if he can stay healthy (is it a big if?) and wants to succeed, he's at that right age to 'explode' ... and that fee is just so good, i don't get it really.

hopefully 1 more similar signing at LB/CB and onward!
 
I'm going to cautiously say that Chiesa is as exciting as a last-minute signing for €13 million can be.

If he explodes into form it will be fun to watch other fans scratch their heads wondering if they passed up going for him
 
Chiesa was very good against Albania in the WC, definitely didn’t look a player short of energy or motivation.

Calling it now, signing of the season.
 
I mean… £11m for Cheisa… we’re basically paying 1994 prices.

We’ve basically signed Cheisa for the price we sold Bobby Clark for.

Like… he’ll probably play as many games as Bobby Clark would have because both legs are attached to his body with gaffa tape.

As he heads to Liverpool for his medical with the club, Chiesa spoke to Gianluca di Marzio’s reporters, as he met Juve fans for one last time at the Turin airport.

He said: “Ready to begin this new adventure, I wanted to say goodbye to the Juventus fans . Thank you for your affection and for these years, I will carry you in my heart and thanks to Juventus . Is it sad to leave Juve like this? It’s sad but I’m really happy for this new adventure . I’m really happy and my family and I can’t wait.”
 
If he turns out to be anything above average and doesn’t die like Thiago constantly did - worst case scenario is we can felch Barca for 7 times what we paid for him when the finally do whatever dodgy finance thing they’re currently trying to do.

Either him or Diaz.. whatever… Barca are funding our big bid for Kudus next season.

As an aside, WTF did Chiesa do to the Juve management that made them accept a ludicrously low offer?

Is he about to get cancelled for betting/dog wanking/drugs and it'll all come out on the 4th September?

He speaks English well it seems and not total wanker. He will do fine and a better option than I imagined, low risk and hope he does well. I assume we priced his injury into the price even with a year left.
 
Sensational signing all things considered.

Hopefully he can stay fit and hit the ground running.

Love the fact he and his family seems genuinely excited to be here vs the usual media sound bite.
 
Hopefully it's shining in Liverpool (as it is here in London - lovely day) when he arrives - look at what he just left behind !
