Wow Veloso is only 23? I thought he was like 5 years older. How has he been playing the past couple of seasons? I remember him being linked with a big money move (~£20m) to united in the past.

I also recall seeing an article recently linking him to likes of Everton and Villa for under £10m, that made me think he's not that good after all.

I am surprised Hamsik is not on that list. I think of that list the most likely replacement is Defour because he played well against us.

I doubt that Parry would have sold Xabi for less than we paid for him, but I certainly think there's a risk he'd have been prepared to negotiate Rafa's idea of the correct fee downwards, closer to what we've been offered.

No. Only the ones that relate to the same thing. You see, talk of Alonso staying will invariably include talk of him going which then leads to talk of who would replace him. That's why we have a 'new post' button so that it's not too mentally challenging for people to follow.

£26m is feasible.

It is €30.4m when in euros, not too shabby. I'd be very, very surprised if we dont get a RM player coming the other way shortly afterwards too.
