I wouldn't share that view Molbys.
They have done some good. Our manager and top players are all tied into long term lucrative deals.
They have given the manager (rate him or not) complete power over the football side of the club and have backed him in the transfer market.
They have broken the clubs transfer record.
I'm not their biggest fan myself, and they have had some glaring fuck ups, no question.
But in an unprecedended global downturn they have both seen their individual wealth cut considerably.

actually this is the alonso thread so to be fair it shouldnt go in here but i hate then enough to challenege that so...
they have done some good? ... what exactly? it could be argued and perhaps rightly that they have increased our income from merchandising and look to be trying to obtain a more comensurate sponsorship etc fitting to the club and there was no doubt whatsoever that the club needing such an overhaul... i'll give you that. Parry and Moores were clowns there seems no doubt.
That they have also broken the transfer record at the club is moot, EVERY club has done that in the last few years more or less as the market has skyrocketed. It would be pushing it to say that we are now in for considerably better players than we were before its just that the players we are buying are now more expensive, Glen Johnson for example is a good player and im pleased we have signed him but he is the sort of player we could have signed before isnt he... when we start bringing in players like Villa then you can use that argument. Until then its pretty much as you were.
They have given the manager complete control? well Tbh they had absolutely no choice in that did they, rafa forced them into it if anything.
IMHO most of the progress we have made in recent years, consistently doing well in the champs league, challenging last year etc stems from rafa and his management and the team maturing as a unit and not from the yanks, as far as i can see they were brought in to do a singular task and they have failed spectacularly to do so and placed in debt in the process, they have lied and do not deserve my gratitude in any way shape or form. Rosco is right we did just spend a lot of money on a right back, that does not quite cut it unfortunately especially considering the amount of money which the TV companies and so on have been pouring into the clubs. And then they charge us a million in expenses for their services ... priceless.
Im sorry but there is in my honest opinion very little to like about them pair. You often read people on here talking about how great we are etc and how its the Liverpool way and gushing with pride ( rightly so most of the time) i ask if we dont accept second best as a default then why would anybody defend our owners? I just don't get it! They have shyster writ large all fucking over them.
the sooner the get the fuck out the better ... IMO.

Torres, Mascherano.
We never signed players like them before
