THE FA Tremble yet again

It was, but a nudge away from the ball=red? What happens in the box BEFORE a corner kick is taken is also away from the ball.

This joke of an incident actually reminded me of the Lehman v Drogba classic

He pushed him with his leg.
Ok, a bit of an exaggeration on my part, but I still think it was a bit more forceful than a push. Youtube is blocked in my work so I'm only going on memory from 2 days ago. I don't think the offence itself was worthy of a red. It's more to do with the fact that it was a complete act of cuntishness on Ferdinand's part that I have a problem with.

There's a huge difference. This one is not just away from the ball but away from the play altogether. It shows serious lack of sportsmanship and respect for your opponent.

I agree Ferdinand showed lack or sportsmanship, but this wasn't a sending off offence which is why I thought this didn't warrant kicking a fuss. Cheating to win a peno, shirt pulling or deliberate tripping an opponent fall in the "lack of spotsmanship" category and rarely result in a red card.
