Theres question marks over individual signings but you cant say the squad hasnt been massively improved and that we have addressed the key issues beautifully (LB, CB, CM, LW and backup CF)

Pretty much, the only debate I'd really have is over Henderson. He might turn out to be something special but it was a relatively unnecessary move at this point and the money could have gone on a more direct player. We can debate allday over Carroll but he's a different type of option to Suarez and Bellamy so all is good. Overall, it's hard not to be happy, I really like Downing and I like the look of Adam and Enrique, while Bellamy will give us another option with pace and good movement.

henderson is our 'project', a big fee for a relative unknown. let's hope he turns out better than our last 'project' ryan babel.

as for the squad the pleasing thing is everyone in the list is likely to contribute at point during the season so at least now the squad has value for money. of course we still have degan, poulsen, cole, insua, n'gog, but I'm hopeful at least half that number will be gone by sept 1st.

So, given the number of players we have who are under 21 I am guessing we can register pretty much everyone? Even the players we would rather get rid of?

If we still have the likes of Cole, N'gog and Insua (I'd draw the line at Poulsen) we may as well register them in the squad mightn't we? I'd imagine you can make changes in January

Yup. The deadline for registration is when the transfer window closes if I am not wrong. If we are unable to shift the deadwood we can still register all of them.

All improvements for about £60m net. The cost of Dzeko and Aguero, Torres & Luis, Young, De Gea, & Jones. Suarez is worth that on his own. Commoli & FSG are genius.

Kelly is not on the list oncy unless he is under 21 in which case take out robbo n flanno from the list also.

As mentioned before by a few posters in other threads we should be capable of challenging for a champ league place and can kick on from there.
