Salah pops up with the all important 2-2 goal and does what he always does. Without him our attack just isn't as good, obviously.

There is one piece of my own advice I probably should take, and that's to steer clear of debates on the tinter clacker!

I guess some people just like hyperbole and I shouldn't take the bait.

Not sure who else said it, but there’s a huge disconnect between our midfield and attack. Nunez has looked handy because he’s trying to be a sledgehammer version of Firmino’s feather.

I'd like to read the context as it seems a bit over the top when you look at the season we've had so far.
A disconnect between our midfield and attack, and we still have the best GD and created the most chances in the league while having the best defensive record.

Slot must be doing something right while implementing his style. Can only imagine how good we'll be going forward.

It is a strange one. We have fewer than Chelsea and city, same as Arsenal and one more than Brighton. Yet we haven’t had one of those games where we just bang in a hatful.

I’m trying to recall where we have had sustained pressure on an opponent. A goal where we pinged it around and then slotted it.

There were times yesterday where we did try to ping it round but it was at snails pace then ended up crossing it to the box.

It’s that pattern of play and intricacy between midfield and attack.

So we should be judged on not banging a hatful yet? 13 games into a new era and we’ve lost 1 game. Thats more important.

As managers always say. Fixing the defence is the easy part. Implementing attacking ideas take more time.

The great early start seems to have people forgetting this is a new manager, in a new league. Slot would have learned again from yesterday and we will hopefully show improvement over time.

This is the point. With what we have at our disposal we know we should be better.

Salah was good. Yet again he was isolated down his side. Our RB was rarely forward, and rarely out side. None of the CMs really favoured the right hand side in any meaningful way. We can't get the best out of him if we expect him to perform when he is double marked every game.

Our tactics are starting to affect the output we could get from him.

I thought Mo was quiet through much of the game yesterday but that had more to do with Arsenal's tactics and how well they executed them than any failing on Mo's part.

And then he stepped up when it counted.

Whoever plays the 10 for us needs to be more heavily involved with the forwards. There's a noticeable disconnect
